Thunderbolts was great. It’s not their fault that the last several movies/shows before it dampened people’s enthusiasm for the MCU. Now they’re making F4… a property I don’t care about just like I didn’t care about Iron Man at first. It’s up to them to bring me in.

It’s almost like their decision to not repeat themselves as far as the structure of phase 1&2 leading to End Game wasn’t the best idea.

I cannot stress enough that I would download a car.

It’s not about state’s rights to let you own people so these fascist pieces of shit don’t care.

That’s great until:

1. It’s your SO or kid accessing it and they don’t know any better.
2. You just bought something (an appliance, a vehicle, an FPV drone, whatever) and it requires you to use an app, and that app is an exclusive on the shadiest App Store possible.

It will absolutely happen with Apple, because there’s so much money that will be up for grabs.

I hope you like signing up with all your personal data and credit card information on app stores that make Apple look like saints, because that’s where this is headed, and sadly you’ll drag me with you.

Because again this hypothetical thing you bought might be a family member buying it, so it won’t even be up to you at that point.

This is what I see happening in the future.

The way to avoid it is to get rid of app stores completely, and have users download and install apps one by one. Like that’s going to happen.

The entire Trump regime and possibly this timeline are an unfortunate episode.

More specifically all the American people who refused to vote for Harris because she wasn’t pro-Palestine enough for them did.

Sure, it was an absolutely stupid take as Trump is far, far worse for everyone, but there you go.

The right time to do what they did with Harris was the day after she was sworn in, not a couple of months before the election.

Lots of rural Washington is MAGA/Nazi territory. Especially Eastern Washington.

And apparently the state has a history of problems with private militias, because the state constitution guarantees firearm ownership for self defense while at the same time forbidding belonging to a militia.

So this story isn’t a surprise.

Nope. I skipped the last few movies and absolutely saw this in a theater, and am prepared to see further MCU movies in theaters if and when I think they warrant it.

The MCU isn’t helping itself with their weird slowdown of how many movies they release per year. They want to pretend we have superhero movie fatigue. We do not. We have mediocre movie fatigue.

I’d see two movies a month in the theater if they were all at least as good as Thunderbolts.

My next theater movie is likely going to be Superman.

I’m up in the air about F4. Historically I don’t care about them or Galactus, but I’m willing to have my mind changed. We’ll see.

Marketing means bothering people. Two of the raspberry pi’s I own are dedicated to fighting unsolicited marketing. Marketing is anathema to me.

My problem is that they failed to make me care about Namor or his entire nation.

That’s purely on them: I didn’t care about Iron Man when I went to see that MCU movie and came home feeling different.

Namor not so much.
