  • For anyone like this to be a good thing there needs to be a system of checks and balances. There should be an appeal process that is low effort and low or zero cost. There should also be a verification process by a third party before anything can be added.

  • I guarantee there is some creepy sex shit in this man's life. You don't accept your sexuality (though outted by Gawker) and then try to use your power against people who share your sexuality and not have some weird shit going on.

  • I would actually never drive through Texas, but I can find no evidence for your claim.

It's not even legal for pregnant women to drive on the highway in Texas on the grounds that they might be trying to flee the state and get an abortion.

I see some reporting from later last year about a possible law asking those lines, but nothing actual.

Can you point me in the right direction?

  • Bacon tho

    Jump
  • I mean I could but I have a nearly limitless supply of rabbits in my yard. Their fur makes great gifts. My plants love the compost I get from everything else. As a bonus the blood compost deters rabbits from eating my cabbage.

Funny thing, I can't seem to find any type of vegan certification that is concerned with the use of animal byproducts or waste in fertilizer. A few specifically say they do not check fertilizer.

  • I didn't care about a progressive project 2025. I want guardrails that neuter project 2025 from being an effective project 2029.

Voters have very short memories and Cheeto Mussolini losing doesn't mean that this repugnant bullshit won't be enacted in the future.

    We need federal court reform.

Protections for non appointed federal employees.

    Protections for women's health.

    Protections for voting rights.

Protections for religions (of and from).

And probably dozens of other things to make sure project 2025 doesn't become project 2029.

We cannot wait for the religious right to act before we respond. We have to respond now. They have shown us their hand and they think we are too weak to stop them. It is time we relegate their views and ideals to the trash heap in which they belong.

  • This is a tale as old as time. We did this in the late 90s at an office supply store. Every Sunday night changing price tags "ooh guess there will be a sale on resume paper in the next few weeks". 1-4 weeks out we would increase prices on some items just to lower them back when the ad came out.

  • Minimum wage will be the next thing to go.

Not taxing tips is actually a gift to the employers more than to the employees. When a tipped worker claims 100$ they will have taxes and SSI withheld from their hourly wage AND the employer will also have to pay into SSI for that claimed tip amount.

Do away with taxes on tips, then make the argument that there shouldn't be a minimum for service workers at all. Eventually we get rid of minimum wage completely and SSI.
