  • This piece can only land on half the squares of this board. Assuming each one represents a drug, that's another reason it's good to be king (or queen).

Edit: I thought this was memes, not anarchychess, so I guess anything goes?

Edit 2: I could have done worse at figuring out the possible moves, but not much worse.

  • There is a lot more spurious communication these days, mostly because communication is so easy. I'm not assigning good or bad to this, it can be a tool for either. But Marcus wrote Meditations about 2000 years ago, and it at least obliquely touches upon habits and forming them.

  • That's why I find it funny. It would be like halving the resolution in a closeup of a massive, erect cock. No one would be confused about what they were looking at and their attention would be focused on it due to the resolution change.

  • Another factor to consider is dehumanizing people is often the first step in justifying atrocities against them, such as the murder of this doubtless terrible CEO, and that has an impact on both the person doing the dehumanizing and the person or persons being dehumanized.

  • If MS had put any focus on allowing skins/themes for Windows, the touch market would have just been an extra feature. There is no technical reason they couldn't have, as evidenced by the third-party apps that allowed legacy skins on previous versions, such as 8 and 10. But they needed that lock-in and forced experience, rather than giving people the choice.

  • There are decent GUI installers for most, if not all, major Linux distros. They may not be as full-featured as the CLI versions, but they are sufficient for average users.

  • Yes, Win2k, WinXP, and Win7 were all major leaps forward in various areas. Imagine if 8 had been just a major cleanup of Windows 7 and unifying the various settings paradigms, how much better that would have been.
