While this is handy to know, it doesn't negate my point.

If you buy a Steam Deck, or the Lenovo laptop I have for work, the only charging options you have are USB C. Their standard chargers put out at least 60 45 W, and they aren't particularly special. In fact, I'm pretty sure 20 W at 5 V won't be enough to supply these while in use, so you will either be using battery with long charge times in between, using them with battery-assisted power for longer use times until you hit those long charge times, or using the 60 45 W or more at whatever voltage the chargers provide.

While consistently ignoring all the rest of it.

I know almost nothing about this, I've only done a few hours of testing with HA and nothing with ESPHome, but a quick search of "esphome wake word disabled" shows a lot of forum chatter since early December. So, you aren't alone, and I can't help you, but there are a lot of resources out there that might.

That makes me think of this. Not too painful but definitely humiliating.

There was a terrible period where pretty much every LCD screen you could get was 1080 horizontal lines. My two LCD monitors are from not long before that time. One is starting to fade and it's nice to know that when I need to replace it I will be able to get something that is at least as good.

The only things I'd say in response to this is: there is good evidence that China's EVs are subsidized, meaning it would not put our manufacturers on a level playing field without tariffs; and if you believe Chinese EVs aren't going to be as laden with spyware as their smartphones or their 5G technology, then I'm not sure what to say.

Your concerns are legitimate, but I don't think this is the correct solution.

Once you've demonstrated that you can't be trusted, the public start to think: "Maybe the right isn't all that bad. It can't get much worse than this."

You failed to include the next step. Once those right-wing populists get elected, the electorate discovers that things can indeed get much worse than this.

Well, if you don't consider your spouse to be family, then I suppose you shouldn't ever fuck your family. If you do consider your spouse to be family then, first, it's the only family you should literally fuck, and second, that is how you get more family.
