It can replace fdroid with caveats. Direct download from gitlab/hub/codeberg/fdroid official with searching. Other git/fdroid repos with manual web addy entry. Good for stuff both on and off fdroid.

Last time I did probably close enough to this (kindle ebook to drm free format that works on anything), I had to use a patched old version of the kindle desktop program together with calibre and some drm removal plugin. The ebook had to be downloaded for the first time with the patched client or you would be stuck with the newer drm that at the time and probably still now hasn't been figured out.

There was one I used to use that just made the screen black and had no visuals to indicate typing or anything working. Typing the correct password and hitting enter would unlock. I think there was some thing about it not being secure after some shift in typical Linux distro defaults and now I just use the default kde locker because lazy

My Isekai/fantasy tiers are just mediocre and normal.

Mediocre is dopey weird looking mc getting generic superpower #789 and testing out various 'creative' power uses somehow nobody ever thought of outside of other generic Isekai, magic=math/physics/programming when the author knows nothing on the subject, everyone falling in love with mc because ??? with absolutely zero social cues and even more confusing than romance in gundam (at least early uc). The magic one is possible to do without being obtuse and kinda forced though.

Normal is just minimal jank, easy to get back into after a hiatus and not get confused with other cookies from the cutter, etc. I have moved a lot of series from normal to mediocre as they aged poorly.

This is how I sort them in tachiyomi lol. They are overriding categories by which I mean any other genre will be ignored for sorting if it is also an isekai.

I tried to read the mango of this. It's another weird one. I'd rank it considerably above isekai smartphone, probably mid to high within the mediocre Isekai/fantasy category. Still has the standard isekai weird social interactions that don't occur in real life and inexplicably dopey mc, though it looks like the animation studio somewhat improved the faces of characters that looked kinda janky. I could be remembering wrong though.

I just want the 7a with two micro SD slots. And not some crippled 1st gen spec slots. All the big phone makers just want to sell their crappy built in storage at a huge premium. Even with the larger storage size of the pro I could still easily fill it up with a lot of stuff but I hate transferring via usb cable when I could eject the card, fill it with music or movies or whatever, and still take the phone with me while I leave it to transfer.

The answer is still no. They always say it is meant to protect children but they will stuff in loopholes to let them do whatever they want, then people in positions of power will still fuck kids and get away with it as long as they don't incriminate other people in even higher positions by being alive.

This is such a common way to attack people pushing for privacy by indirectly calling them pedophiles or pedophile supporters. But what about, for example, gay people living in a country where gay people are not accepted, treated violently, or even killed. Just a simple message could out someone and put them in danger. I have a friend that went home to Russia maybe about a decade ago and was using encrypted messaging in his communications to get him and his lover out. Now with Putin having his post-midlife crisis and dragging in everyone else it's even shittier for the little guy just trying to survive in a place where he can't trust anyone. I'm sure there are plenty of other equally important examples but there are a lot of people in my family and friends that are LGBT.

If it came down to a vote on a politician I would favour fixing foster care and adoption over 'preventing child sexual abuse' since most of the individuals using that as part of their platform seem wholly untrustworthy buzzword abusers or even projecting and are the problem rather than the solution. I can't think of any names off the top of my head but recall someone putting up a list of confirmed offenders in a discussion about how in America the republicans often call the democrats pedophiles but there is apparently a disappointing amount on both sides with a loooot on the side making the accusation.

Also if tech companies(who do they even refer to) can scan so called encrypted messages, there is literally nothing stopping them from scanning or just saving whatever they want. The question is just flawed to begin with even before the part where they coerce the answer they want using fear of being labelled as a pedophile.

Damn I gave those a brief lookup and they seem quite sexy. I'll have to try them out.
