  • Shouldn’t we be past the asking why phase and more into the solution phase.

Even if things are just gonna be expensive moving forward, the government subsidizes essentials that people need to survive. So even if corporates aren’t being greedy (they are) somethings gotta give, no?

Otherwise people will vote for PP or worse in a few years

  • Sounds like someone hasn’t been a target of fraud or a scam.

I’m Canadian, and when my phone rings with a unfamiliar number, I assume it’s someone trying to trick me to get my money, usually by pretending to be Chinese and having a package for me.

  • While I fully agree, I thought the distinction was unbreakable rules.

The laws of physics can’t be broken, even, under any circumstances, everywhere, at any time.

Whereas magic is more like there is an exception to every rule kind of deal. It’s far more like software, as in it’s mostly fully logically consistent except for random spots where devs took some shortcuts to make life easier.

  • This is how I know AI doesn’t really work. Give it a real use case in the physical world, it can’t be almost there, either it passes or fails.

People should really appreciate deterministic algorithm cause they could automate things in the real world

  • Not my all time favorited but truly an unforgettable gem:

    The Good Place.

Not only does it tackle the toughest questions in life, its the perfect thought experiment: okay, let’s say you have a heaven, what then?
