  • I may look into the other genealogical direction. My daughter has skills that are globally in demand and she's probably more upset about America than I ever could be. Maybe there's a bring your parent along program out there somewhere.

I'm fifteen years out from viable retirement. If I can hold on that long, there are several places I could go on my own accord.

  • I got everything done today. Laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep. Even took down a couple wasp nests that I blasted in the wee hours yesterday morning.

So that means that tomorrow there is no responsibility so I can and probably will do exactly as depicted in the picture.

    What a life!

(As to the wasp nests, I'm generally live and let live but these two straddled my door and were making it dangerous to leave or enter the house, so it was them or me. Sorry little wasp buddies)

  • The perception has kinda flipped in twenty years.

Back then you'd wear a suit to project credibility.

Now the suit makes you look untrustworthy.

Disclaimer: Personal perspective and opinion. Not intended to be etched in stone universal fact.

  • So how would I go about installing Linux on my shitty $200 refurbished Dell laptop? Would it continue to support my USB docking station with mouse keyboard and three monitors? What about remoting into work?

I don't otherwise particularly do anything on it. No gaming or any such thing.

  • I mentioned premium/discount in my comment. When you sell a bond on the secondary market, the price goes up or down to match prevailing interest rates. It should have no effect on new issue prices.

I am simplifying quite a bit here, but the gist is sufficient unless European bonds work differently which was my original question.

  • Sell to whom? Do Euro bonds work differently than in the US?

You can sell bonds in the US and it's only slightly different from selling a stock. The bond changes hands, but the government debt and interest payments remain static. (The buyer and seller get to deal with premium/discounts and accrued interest, but that has zero effect on the underlying debt from the issuing government)

I don't understand why this would be a bad thing for them to sell.

  • On schools:

Safe, Secure, and Drug-Free, by "immediate expulsion for any student who harms a teacher or another student." This includes sending the "out-of-control troublemakers OUT of the classroom and INTO reform schools and corrections facilities,"

Yikes. Start rounding em up and locking them away, probably as free labor, while they're young.

  • As long as he continues to persecute people with melanin and women, he's fine. The insurance will cover the storm damage and they'll blame the liberal media for the fifty percent increase in premiums that follow.
