  • I can see a future where the Internet is completely run by bots and AI to the point where no human actually uses the Internet anymore.

It's like an island that gets overrun with rats - there are just too many to deal with so you leave.

  • I think Jake Tapper and many others shouldn't be called a journalist but a "News Influencer"

  • my feeling is, is if you are going to be selling a product and you use certain words or phrases like "scientifically proven" or "research shows..." that you need to reference your claim.

  • It sets both the technical requirements and recommended best practices for determining the validity of methods used to authenticate digital identities online. Organizations that interact with the federal government online are required to be in compliance

My argument is that if this document (and others) are requirements for companies shouldn't there also be a more approachable document for people to use?

Sure, have the jargon filled document that those in the know can access, but without an additional not so jargon-y document you've just added a barrier to change. Maybe just an abstract of the rule changes on the front page without the jargon?

I don't know, maybe it's not a big deal to compliance officers but just seems to me (someone that isn't a compliance officer) that obfuscating the required changes behind jargon and acronyms is going to slow adoption of the changes.

  • The one that gets me is that if the Universe is infinite but how matter can organize itself is finite (albeit a very large number) then there is another galaxy just like ours, another Earth just like ours, and there is another GoofSchmoofer writing this exact some thing in the exact same way somewhere out there.

And if this is true then how many GoofSchmoofer's are there in this infinite Universe?

  • LEMMiNO - doesn't post videos often but it's good stuff when he does

  • What's crazy to me is this is a well known problem yet the people that have the ability to legislate this have just 100% ignored it.

The presidential candidates in the US either completely ignore it (trump) or give a solution of building 3 million new homes (Harris). No one wants to actually start regulating the number of homes that an individual or company can own. It's an obvious solution to the problem yet, complete silence from the law makers.

  • If you’re an original 2017 CAH Saves America subscriber and you want to increase the pressure on Elon, here’s a thing you can post on Twitter (the platform he wants you to call “X” for his own sexual gratification):

In 2017, I paid Cards Against Humanity to protect a pristine plot of border land from Trump’s racist wall. But then an even richer, more racist billionaire—Elon Musk—stole my land and dumped his shit all over it. @ElonMusk owes me $100. #ElonOwesMe100Bucks www.ElonOwesYou100Dollars.com

Or if you’re not a subscriber, but you still think Elon Musk is a charity-embezzling, conspiracy-peddling eugenicist manchild who trades horses for in-flight handjobs, post this:

In 2017, 150k people paid Cards Against Humanity to protect a pristine plot of border land from Trump’s racist wall. But then an even richer, more racist billionaire—@ElonMusk—stole their land and dumped his shit all over it. Fuck that! www.ElonOwesYou100Dollars.com #ElonOwesMe100Bucks

  • Remember when trump lashed out at FBI directory Comey when he produced a new piece of 'evidence' against Hilary in October of 2016, calling it 'election interference'?

    ... yeah me either.

  • has the added benefit of potentially provoking them into getting themselves arrested if there are cops watching.

As long as the cops don't sympathize with the nazis

  • "Government Efficiency Commission" run by Elon, nothing corrupt would come from that. /s

  • Russia uses nukes in Ukraine to "win" the war. Now they control land that has large swaths that are completely unlivable and non-productive for farming. And the "livable" parts Russia would have to spend huge sums of money to re-build the infrastructure from the blast(s).

Even if the rest of the world let's them get away with that (which I doubt they would) it doesn't seem like a very good strategy.

  • You could see part of Harris' teams strategy was to bait him with things to make him mad.

There was the statement about him losing 400 million dollars, the statement about other western leaders laughing at him, the rally size comment. Probably a few more.

If he was smarter he would have seen what they she was attempting and changed how he responded

  • "my plan goes to a different high school, you wouldn't know her."

  • You don't have to if you don't want.

But whether you like it or no rich entertainers like Taylor Swift get lots of media and views. Which parleys into influence and bringing attention to a candidate or an idea.

This is the reason why anyone that wants to grow a brand and/or an idea will try to get a celebrity to endorse it.

Edit: This doesn't mean they know more than the average joe it's all about marketing

  • I think this company has few different teams that work on the problem from different angles

Some are on the boats in the Pacific some are building interceptors in rivers in countries that are the largest producers of waste that makes it to the ocean. Of course they can't fix the problem just slow it down. The fix comes from these countries changing how they allow garbage to be collected and stored.
