  • I love that there are people like you who have the kerbal science down. I still try to get into orbit by strapping more solid fuel rockets on and smashing that space bar. I recently became quite skilled at getting up to 12 people into orbit and back down again because, goddamnit, it pays the bills for all the failed missions to the other side of the planet to take thermometer readings.

  • One of our captain ds is now a 'make your own' burger joint that ALSO, strangely enough, never seems to be busy but stays in business. There must be some sort of curse lingering in the very asbestos of the ceilings.

The only other one is the last of its kind in at least a 50 mile radius.

  • My partner randomly had a craving for it, and for the life of me I cannot understand why. We had to drive way the heck out of our way to go get some, and it was the most hilarious experience to observe from the car. Two new friends, four fish fillets, and apparently some very odd looks as the offered drugs were rebuffed, my partner comes back in and off we go, leaving the strange place tucked in the corner of two apartment complexes behind.

  • I'd have to go look up the exact wording, and it's on my drive that I don't have hooked up right now. GFCI was required for any outlet in a bathroom, but there was still a ban up until the most recent edition on any outlet within the... shoot, the word/phrase escapes me, something like 'shower space,' which includes the area with four horizontal feet of the edge of the bathtub. I have a toilet right next to the shower/tub combo, and a door next to the toilet, which meant no outlet allowed near the toilet and thus no electrically powered bidet.

  • Who mixes yeast with whipped cream? That's heresy! Fruit juice, strange grains, and rotting potatoes I'll accept, but fermenting milk is the work of the devil.

Also: I've also never heard of a yeast infection of the armpit, so you've got some safe targets.

  • It's where he's allowed to cuddle/lay in your lap. It's easier than having guests get down on the ground for it, and there are two couches, one allowed and one not. So guests that don't want a begger of pets can choose.

  • Meanwhile, my dog is so stupid, he'll jump onto slippery vinyl floors from couches and chairs. I've actually seen him slip, fall sideways and body slam into the ground. I found him limping one time and I'm reasonably sure it was from jumping off the couch, which is when I finally put my foot down and blocked him from jumping up onto it. Built a little ramp instead.

  • Bingo. She's won three terms, so six years of being a rep, which means she gets the retirement and healthcare (the federal option, which she would pay the premiums for, in fairness) for life. The formula calculates out somewhere between $17-20k once she turns 62 in another nine years. Not a lot, but a very decent chunk to add to everything else.

Add in everything from the typical republican grifts and why would she bother anymore?

  • You know, wild, insane conspiracy theory, but maybe the mental breakdown is more than just aftereffects from the stroke.

What if some republican patsy at a three letter agency has some serious blackmail on him? He's a public figure, his actions easily scrutinized. As a senator his time, statements, and votes are public, and the government itself is doing the blackmail, so he can't turn to anyone. If he resigns they release the blackmail. The only way to not have the blackmail released is to fake these issues. Or maybe the pressure is actually breaking him, who knows.

  • Pfffft. Not far enough. You have to go back to 2015 to even find articles that aren't shitty lists or repeating the 'target' word 15 times for SEO. AI has only sped up the ability to generate shit.
