  • The insurance companies and homeowners have now been fully awakened to the impending disasters that will be caused by climate change. Florida is screwed, and they're getting their wake-up call ahead of most other states.

  • I switched to FF a few years ago when my Chrome was showing some bloat. FF works for almost everything, but from time to time some sites, forms, e-commerce, etc., have issues with non-Chrome browsers. In that event, I use Edge.

  • I've noticed the same thing. Subs that used to have a vibrant /new feed now seem to have just a few recent posts.

  • People are actively seeking alternatives to Reddit right now, not just because of Reddit's draconian and short-sighted policies, but also because the quality of posts and comments has gone in the toilet lately. Also, the AI bots are becoming more and more obvious on Reddit. They have deployed an AI reply system into the comments, probably to make up for the decrease in traffic that could hurt their IPO.

I've referred numerous people here that want to leave the cesspool that Reddit has become. I've noticed a rapid shift in perception about the Fediverse. Just weeks ago, mentions of Lemmy and kbin would receive downvotes and negative comments. Now, they want to know more about alternatives.

  • I'm enjoying Lemmy more and more each day. From the moment I loaded Wefwef, I knew I had a new home. It's not perfect, but it was reminiscent enough of Apollo for me to know that Lemmy is a contender. I still mainly use desktop access, but having a mobile app I can pull up and scroll made me feel much better about leaving Reddit.

  • You're obviously the next Warhol, and this art installation deserves all the upboats.
