  • Yay! Glad you're enjoying it so far :)

I can also say the past month or two rocking Mint have been a breath of fresh air, everything feels fast and I've only had one GOG game not run (think I could with some effort) :)

Even the Unity game engine works, and debugs, it's lightyears ahead of my previous goes at Mint over the years (and they only "ended" because of needing music software for college and uni!)

Hope it continues to treat you well! Also you may wish to indulge in the greatest Linux feature I know, which is Wobbly Windows - it makes your windows wobbly when dragged, which is very enjoyable for reasons I am not sure of! :)

  • It was in fact a protest because dinner would take an hour and a yorkshire pudding fell out its bag while I was rummaging in the freezer! I needed sustenance and gravity obliged, it would have been rude to deny my destiny. 😊

I am sure that my sacrifices and heroism in a trying time are just what any other normal, sane person would have done... I should think probably I guess

  • I miss the number of users meaning there was always some kind soul also interested in my niche interest, be it coding, obscure band I just found... that was neat. :)

I don't miss the number of users meaning lame memes and boring gibberish clogging the pipes, not to mention the argument people on the big subs. :/

  • I saw first sci-fi and thought ooooh "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"... but, as much as it's a great book... it is not positive by any means!

I am interested too, it's been tricky to find positive sci-fi for me, and I'd love to read some. :)

  • In case anyone is following this: Eurogamer are reporting that Game have denied this.

I really hope game will still sell... games, but am cynically wondering if they are measuring the reaction from this to make a decision. :/

  • Hull, England for me! I went up as a student and stayed another year, partly because I loved the city and wasn't ready to go home.

There was a great vibe, music venues, free museums and galleries, felt safe, and loved wandering.

I saw the rougher bits too, but it didn't seem to different to most places. On the whole, the centre was way nicer than I expected, and there was a lot of cool community things people were running.
