This garbage structure is the worst blemish on New York in recent history. It's ugly, conceptually empty, and an abhorrent monument to corruption and anti-humanity.
trypophobia is not a real phobia in psychiatry. Look it up, the term was literally coined by a random person in an online forum. Many people get the hebbie jebbies by it, but that's different from an actual psychiatric phobia.
Even if we used piezo, the movement of the hammer would still have to come from some power source, which would still be the same sources like moving steam, water, or wind.
Solar photovoltaic is the only one i can think of that isn't just a fancy way to make steam
EDIT
ok let's clarify to say a method that isn't related to movement of a fluid that spins a turbine. So not windmills (air is a fluid), not hydro, not geothermal, etc.
Seriously. Like if the epicenter was even a few hundred feet away from the property then it could be reasonable to say it happened at the property. But 6 miles is way too far away to say they're the same place
You're being too pedantic about wording. The right answer is to make it most safe while minimizing the chance of it accidentally firing. Simply moving it to a locked room down the hallway is the best way to achieve that.
Doing anything to the gun is probably a bad idea, even if you have experience with firearms. This gun came from a gang member, it could be in a very janky altered condition that makes it act unpredictably. If you're going to try to disarm it anyway then you should still move it outside first before attempting that just in case it malfunctions and fires while you're trying to manipulate it
Yeah the cybertruck is garbage, but forum complaints existing is a meaningless measure. Every product in existence has forums where you can find people complaining about the product.
A global communities search that's integrated into all lemmy software. Meaning like i would go to a communities search bar and type "politics" and it'll show me all /politics communities on all instances, sorted by subscriber count.
And all communities should have a button right up at the front that's labeled "see similar communities", which would take you to that search result page.
EDIT
Apparently the search part of what i said already exists, but it's hard to find and requires techie skills to make it function the way i described. So the feature should be made easier to find and should default to an all-instances search instead of a local server search. And a "see similar communities" button should be added to automatically get to it.
That's a dumb dismissive response. It's a passive entertainment medium, it's not supposed to require any skill or effort at all. The subtitles being on screen makes the experience significantly less enjoyable for many of us, and that's all that needs to be said for it to be 100% valid
I don't know much about stocks, but on every time span chart this stock looks like it's in total disaster mode
