That's exactly my point: he's one of the richest and most prominent people on the planet (something that I too dislike). People posting about him are not going anywhere because of his status.

If seeing the words "Elon Musk" really degrades your internet experience that much, maybe the internet isn't for you. Unfortunately, he's a billionaire, and he will be in the media until he dies.

Unfortunately, because of him being a billionaire his PR is self sustaining and posts about him aren't going anywhere.

Reolink has a doorbell camera that works even with no internet, and can record locally both to SD or to an NVR. No sign up is required.

I suppose it might be time to try! Last I tried Jellyfin, multiuser wasn't really a thing.

I would love to switch but there's two things stopping me: Less support (if any?) for multi-users and remote access, and less app support especially when transcoding is needed. Also would be nice to not lose Overseerr when switching, I'm sure there's a fork of that though.

I experienced this tonight and thought I was crazy (also with Comcast, unfortunately). Switched my pihole to OpenDNS and the problem was solved.

You are probably correct! I always forget about the UID..

You might try adding :rw after each of your volume paths, like this:

My honest suggestion would be to ditch Duplicati for Duplicacy. Duplicacy is one time payment, but it's much more polished than Duplicati. I actually had major issues with recovering files from Duplicati; sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Not ideal for something as critical as backup software.

Many routers nowadays have VPNs built in.

A local NVR, like Frigate or Blue Iris.

Cameras connected to the public internet are such a bad idea.
