  • Uh.. and what are you basing your opinion on? Not SEO or personal reasons, I hope.

  • I'm going off of personal experience. I've used them all for SEO, and I find Kagi's results and experience better for my own personal use.

  • And yet, Kagi's search results far surpass both DDG and Bing.

  • My comment wasn't about installing the package. You seemed to think that systemd required root, which it does not. Further, you can have systemd user processes start at boot. I do this exact thing with Duplicacy, no root required.

  • Installing as user does not require root, to be clear. You can use systemd without root by specifying user.

  • I use Aliucord which by default removes many of the associated Discord trackers.

It should be noted that all 3rd party apps are against Discord TOS. No one has ever been banned for these clients as far as I know, but it is possible that they could start banning in the future.

  • Literally zero of those sources are reliable, thus the downvotes.

  • Owned by a Brave engineer, so of course brave looks better there. Do not trust that site.

  • Is there a way to run it in hard mode since it's based off of uBlock?

  • It's not possible for most, that's the point. You saying that they should leave is ignorant at best and "hostile" at worst.

  • Struck a nerve, did I?

You do realize that these people cannot "just leave", right? Where are they going to go? That's literally the whole point of it being a braindead take, you aren't putting yourself in their shoes and instead are using your comparably comfortable life to say they should leave.

So yes, the original comment I replied to is braindead and so is yours.

  • First, Musk didn't do this, the engineers at SpaceX did. Second, I fully acknowledge that it makes internet cheaper and gives more people access, and that's a great thing. What's not so great is the impact to astronomy from the ground. And unfortunately, this issue is only going to get worse as more subscribers and competitors join in. I really wish there was a solution, but even with SpaceX painting the bottom black the satellites are still visible.

I'm also nowhere near smart enough to come up with a solution here, so I suppose this is more of a rant than anything.

  • It would be a shame if your hometown got bombed and someone told you that you should "just leave". What an evil, braindead take.

  • What a daddy.

  • You can redirect all DNS traffic to your own DNS server to get around this.

  • We don't need to seed Lemmy with reposts from reddit. If you want reddit posts, go there.

  • I only buy my dick pills from spam messages posted to news communities.

  • You're letting perfection be the enemy of good. There will never be a perfect solution, especially for the end consumer.
