  • There is a large portion of the gay male community that prefers the smell of a man rather than the smells caused by those products. As a result I will only wear natural antiperspirants or deodorants which wash off easily and only when I need to (going into the office days).

I found that I don't smell nearly as bad as I used to (verified by outside opinions) when using "normal" antiperspirants. They mess up your body's natural scents and it takes a while before things return to normal even with daily washing.

    Plus they're inedible...

  • Optimistic Nihilism is "even though there isn't an inherent meaning to things, this woman is important to me so I prioritize her well-being even when I'm not around."

It's that you define what is permissible in order to bring about the most happiness to the most important parts of your life.

It's not "nothing matters so everything is permissible." That would be just regular old self-centered nihilism.

  • For those not in the know, Amazon bought One Medical, they didn't create it. I've been using it since before the purchase and it has been much much better than any past medical care I've recieved.

I really hope that Amazon doesn't screw it up.

  • "The more you know, the more you know you don't know."

If the button increases capacity but not the actual things you know, then I'd say pushing the button would drive you kind of batty rather than improve any measurable quality of your life. Better to be stupid and happy.

If it gives you the answers to the secrets of the universe and the means to use them then I would absolutely bash the button. Let me accelerate the development of society through affordable space travel, cures for all diseases, and convincing eli5 arguments that bring peace to the world.
