I know nothing of Academy, but I understand it's in the Discovery future. I kind of wish that arc brought them back to their time. That future is rough and... can scifi be too futuristic? Anyway, not sure if I will dig the Academy of that time, but can't knock it until I try it.
I kind of want to meet the new demographic that is into the latest Star Trek. As in, that's all they know and what they like best. I'm not sure that demographic is even formed yet, but I'm kind of curious how different they would be from the old Trek folks. What is it about the new track that they like versus the old.
prodigy however, i never finished it. i donβt know why, but my youngest didnβt dig it and then it went through the re-homing. i just sorta forgot about it. i think itβs time i give it a second go. iβll force him to watch it because all kids should be properly indoctrinated with trek. ;-)
I will never begin to understand how and why execs make the decisions they do.
No idea if it was most popular, but i wouldn't have thought so. The humor seemed directed mostly towards existing fans. I cant imagine they brought in many new viewers. I'd love to be surprised though.
It certainly has its differences. I've really enjoyed SNW. Discovery had a lot of good, but plenty to counter balance it. I'm glad they wrapped it up because it really really needed to.
Now... this Section 31 movie? I watched the trailer. And... as much as I hate to say this because of how much I love Star Trek... I think I'm going to skip that one. Normally I watch everything out of devotion. Yep, that means watching some pretty bad stuff. I just don't know if this movie has any redeeming qualities though.
I love Yeoh, but I really don't like the Georgiou character much. And this movie takes place in the part of the Discovery timeline that I just didn't dig so much.
I don't know. Maybe.
I'd hate for there to be some Star Trek I didn't watch .
Ha! To which they will then melt in my arms and kiss me and tell me just how wonderful I am... only to then punch me in the arm and say... "now tell me what I can get you, dammit, or I will hurt you more!" π
It's a great idea. I did nearly the same exact thing some years ago. It helped a lot. It grounded me. Rejuvenated me. I want to be there again. TMI: since then, life has blown up... more than once... and left me pretty mangled. Hobbies and those life giving things dissipated. Mental health declined again. I started drowning in work and survival. But slowly I'm getting into a better place. I miss those walks with camera in hand. Watching life unfold around me. Capturing creatures living life in all their funny ways. Yes, I quite liked that. And while it may not happen in time for my bday, that craving is there and that's a good thing. I hope you're able to spend more time in the here and now, with camera in hand. π
Oh man. There definitely would be uses for such a replica. I just had a lot of fun generating stupid ai images of this scene:
Generate Jean-luc Picard in bed, wearing a robe that is open to reveal a hairy chest. He's on his side, propping up his head with an arm. He has a pipe in mouth and is wagging his eyebrows, inviting you to join him.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, you know?
But if I do drop them and dirt or something, you can remove the rubber and clean it with soap, water, and qtip. You need to be very mindful of the actual speaker portion. A toothpick can be helpful for removing debris, but I wouldn't apply any liquids to the face of the speaker. There's usually a piece of fabric that's glued on and you don't want to lose that or get it gunked up.
Of the live action, what have you enjoyed the most?
