Don't just chalk this up to oil. This has far more to do with AIPAC, one of the most powerful lobbying groups in the US, second only to AARP with its >35 million members.

I think in the US they cracked down on check fraud really hard for a while and people are basically too scared to do it now. In places where it does happen (usually rural poor areas) some (especioaly smaller) places will just not accept checks or have signs up about how check fraud is a federal crime and that they will take you to court for it. Not saying it's the best solution, just trying to provide some background.

Sulcatas have been known to 'accidentally' bust through interior walls, at least in the US, where almost everything is sheetrock.

Obviously, it's illegal to sell a product that's using copyrighted material you don't have the copyright to. This AI is not open source, it's a for profit system.

A better example is the Stanford prison experiment. Guy purposely put cruel bullies as the "guards" and more submissive participants as the "prisoners" to sway the study preemptively. Not to mention all the funky things people do with collected data. This isn't to say that when somebody with no expertise in a field doesn't understand a study that that study is bs tho, and I'll admit this is a fine line to walk as many pseudoscientists and crackpot theorists are created this way.
