You know construction workers are jacked compared to desk workers right? Like if you take a random construction worker and a random office worker, neither of which lift, the construction worker is going to tend towards both more mass overall (as it helps prevent injuries) and more muscle mass (because working out as your work tends to do a lot for your body)
I'm bi and call stuff I don't like 'gay' all the time. I also call stuff I like 'gay'. I don't think that the use of a term by those it applies to can really be negative as its more of an empowerment thing abt takibg the word back for the community. It's like getting mad at people that call each other the n-word (especially if you aren't black yourself).
That doesn't mean it's not still a show. In the 2010s (forget when exactly) the TSA was tested with fake bombs and let them through 49/50 times. They have never successfully stopped a terrorist attack either afaik.
I think for those of us that were born 2000 and later the amount of tech experience we have probably has a strong correlation with who was into PC gaming/modding as kids.
Bananas. There's a reason they're 69 cents a pound despite coming from Central America whereas apples are like 4-5 times as much and mostly come from US orchards.
Jsyk, looking up "etymology redneck" indicates the term comes from sunburn on the back of manual laborers' necks and was in use for a bout a century before. I am always glad to see the West Virginia coal mine wars brought up tho so kudos.
Can any organism live on 100% salt? I was able to find info on hypersaline solutions, but I would think that existing on a pure polar solute would pretty much just kill by osmosis right?
That's true in pretty much every developed country over the past 2-3 decades lmao. The US still has branded packaging but the social attitude towards cigarettes has also completely flipped from being something everybody (including children) did to being seen as gross. I don't see how this arbitrary law is shown to have any effect whatsoever.
I was able to pirate photoshop for somebody just last year but it's definitely a bit more in depth than just clicking a magnet link iirc. Doable on windows fs, unsure abt Linux and mac.
You clearly know zero abt copyright law if you think law enforcement is legitimately getting involved. 9.99999999 times out 10 it's a letter from a lawyer.
That's not really how it works.
Going from one food chain level to another you lose about 90% of the energy like:
Plants - photosynthesize 100% of solar energy available
Herbivores - eat the plants, losing about 90% of the total energy in the process of breaking it down and making it usable.
Carnivores - eat another animal, losing another 90% aka (1% of total energy)
Plus, consider that photosynthesis is capable of creating all the sugars and that we can convert sugars into fats and proteins and stuff using biological processes (this is essentially why plants need nitrogen and phosphorous to grow, but the generally get that from the soil and really don't need a lot.
Yeah because somebody gave their life trying to stop a violent criminal. ACAB absolutely, but this guy is still an individual that bravely gave his life trying to protect others. He still left behind a family and friends. Have some respect.
Tbh I switched to Firefox mobile from Chrome and have the opposite experience. While it is in someway less convenient for auto fill, as long as my Google account is logged in on another browser page I can always use it for that and they have password and credit card auto fill features should you want to take care of them.
Lithium mining afaik is terrible for the environment and would almost definitely have american environmentalists in a snafu. It strikes me as the kind of thing that NIMBYism prevents us from taking advantage of. (Despite the fact that people have already displaced by climate change and we're putting tariffs on the goods used to reduce emissions)
