I believe it happens if the OP sets the language to something other than undefined when creating their post. It is an option I noticed when using lemmy.world directly, I set it to English on a post I made, someone PM’d me and said they couldn’t leave a comment, I changed the post’s language to undefined via an edit, and then the person was able to comment on it. I was able to recreate the issue on my end with both an app and also with the lemmy.world browser UI with language set to undefined.
I think being able to mark certain posts as certain languages has its advantages, but when most lemmy front ends don’t support language settings, it just causes silent errors and confusion.
I have been working on costume parts, my process with split pieces is first assemble with painter’s tape to get a test fit, disassemble, super glue the pieces together with locktite gel control, sand with 80 and then 220 grit, paint with rustoleum 2-in-1 sandable filler, fill in gaps and seams with bondo glazing spot putty, sand the entire thing with 220, and then repeat paint-bondo-sand until I am happy with the surface before I move onto actually painting.
If I don’t want to paint something, and don’t care too much about layer lines, I’ll usually use super glue and then a wood burner to melt the edges together. It isn’t the prettiest, but it works fine.
This helped a ton for me, I opened a second savings account for travel/vacation savings and I have thought about opening another checking to separate “fun” money from expenses money.
Some banks make it really easy, where you can freely create sub-accounts for each bucket of money, but it seems like a majority make you apply for each account. In my experience, the application gets instantly approved, but it makes it seem harder and scarier than it really should be.
I have had too many times where I have been confused trying to figure out a giant nested loop because the writer used i/j/k or x/y/z. It’s even worse when they confused when a particular bug is because they confused what their single letter variables were and used j somewhere instead of i and no one caught it because it is so easy to brush over. Name your stuff what it is, make your life easier, make others lives easier.
With wefwef on iOS , if I tap an image to full screen it, then hold, I get options to share, copy, or save. Share gives me a link, copy gives me the image, and save saves the image.
When I paste the image, it seems like 50/50 on if it will just nicely paste the image or paste a file instead.
