If men have no positive role models and no framework through which to interact with their emotions and their place in the world, they will find horrible role models like Andrew Tate and come up with crude and self-serving frameworks through which to view the world. Since people find religion cringe for some reason nowadays, personal philosophy and virtue ethics are now our only good option.

If I'm being real, my only knowledge of trans fats comes from that one American Dad episode where Stan tries to smuggle them across state lines to make his food taste good again after they're banned. Would you mind educating me on what the commotion was about them?

I'm not at the point in life where I can really avoid plastic, but I aspire to get there eventually.

I like excessive sweetness in all of my beverages since I've been drinking excessively sweet beverages all my life. I got the taste buds of a toddler. Still, give me aspartame over sugar, even on the off chance that the meager amount I consume gives me cancer some day that's probably better than what too much sugar would do to me.

Microplastics are the new lead, and screens are the new tobacco, in my opinion. Overuse of sugar in processed foods is the new version of how they'd cut food with inedible stuff like sawdust back in the day.

The only time when willful ignorance is bad, in my book, is

A: They're being willfully ignorant about an essential skill that they need in order to make everyone's day go smoother

Whenever a customer is rude to me I just remember that they're probably compensating for how terrible their own lives are. If it was actually an issue on my part then one of my coworkers would've told me by now. Makes it way easier to move on with my day.

It depends on what the subject is. Learning things requires energy, which we don't have an unlimited supply of. If you ask me a question about, say, Hotwheels toys, I'm gonna tell you I don't know the answer, and I do not care nearly enough about Hotwheels to put time and effort into researching anything other than surface-level facts about them. This type of ignorance is fine by me, I'd rather deal with a person who knows they don't know anything about a subject and doesn't care about it than someone who knows little yet cares deeply about it.

It is an easily discernable fact that western nations who value inclusion, democracy, economic freedom, property rights, and tolerance are more moral than countries like Russia, who value none of those things. This is also visible when America wages war. America makes painstaking efforts to avoid civilian casualties even when enemy action makes it exceedingly difficult to do so, especially in modern times, and that's why only 46k civilians died in Afghanistan. America's war was also justified because we were attacked first, but you seem to think Al-Qaeda's attack on a civilian target was justified because of the acts of America's government, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what other atrocities you believe are justified by your own logic.

Meanwhile, Russia is systematically raping Ukraine and Russia's predecessor, the Soviet Union, killed or exiled a third of Afghanistan's population. Numerous genocides and ethnic cleansings were also committed in service of the Russian ethnic group by the USSR, and another one is ramping up in Ukraine as we speak.

Studies have found that heritability affects everything from extroversion/introversion, disgust response, how compassionate someone is, how likely someone is to experience certain types of mental illness, testosterone and estrogen levels, and even whether someone is likely to be politically leftist or politically right wing, and when we selectively breed animals, we can get animals with completely different temperaments, but the idea that natural selection might've caused humans to have an affinity for the tribes we've been living in for the past few million years? Actually, scratch that, just look at human behavior and how people living in the same country and in the same economic class will find reasons to dislike eachother even in countries where ethnic tension is suppressed. Serbs, Bosniaks, and Croats lived in the same regions, were all equally poor, speak the same language, are genetically almost exactly the same, and share the vast majority of their culture with eachother, and as soon as Tito died and stopped suppressing tensions between them, they started hating on eachother for basically no reason at all and then started a war over it. There are many such cases in history where people will hate eachother for almost no reason, especially during times of scarcity or hardship. As it turns out, most people will choose their tribe over their economic class when the going gets rough.

Also, genetics is complicated as hell and sometimes simple observation of behavior has to do. You don't expect the same burden of proof when you assume that humans are all altruistic, as well, since you treat that like an article of faith for a religion.
