  • As a parent of two young kids that's easy for me. Adaptability, self reflection, and problem solving. Learning to check their sources and learning where to get the good info they need to do whatever. While also teaching the skills to solve for themselves and question themselves while still believing they can find the best solution. You give them this foundation they can sort it out.

  • Steam can be pretty loose with the period too within reason. I only returned a game once, it was the Outer Worlds and I put like 4 hours into it. I explained to them that at that point it was clear that choices didn't have the big impact I thought they would and I felt deceived.

  • My wife was having a brain fart once and knew there was a logical reason but couldn't figure it out atm. So I drew a diagram top down geometry class style. Set her straight just like that. It's just the light bouncing at an angle so that you can see what is on the front of the paper.

  • But JoJo got good long before halfway through. For me it starts with Battle Tendency but for many it's good from Stardust Crusaders on. That leaves many more seasons and even more manga.
My advice for anyone getting into JoJo would probably be start with Stardust Crusaders, they explain why Dio is a big deal in the narrative and the mask isn't relevant anymore so none of it really matters.
You are right that the first season is a total drag and very skippable though.

  • My wife found out BG was out. Saw it was a full release price and was kind of like, "meh I can wait". I joked about everyone playing just wanted to edit their character's genitals and she immediately put it on top of her Wishlist.

  • Great advice considering angels are God's hitmen.

  • This. My autistic daughter loves that generation of MLP and watches it daily for the past five or so years. At first it was somewhat enjoyable for the memes and subtle adult humor. Now it's overkill and I think I could out quiz bronies at a MLP quiz game. Certainly more tolerable at first than many of the other shows she likes though.

  • Don't threaten us with a good time.

  • My autistic daughter likes to quietly play with my phone when we eat out. If that doesn't happen everyone in the immediate area suffers. This has always caused me a bad time.

  • Looks like I need to find a server then. Thanks.

  • Is there a way to get it to work with a kbin account?

  • Finally, a unit of data measurement that isn't base ten!

  • Yep. NY state, even as progressive as the state can be it always grabs attention. People are amazed at how good I am at taking care of my kids and usually put gender into the equation while doing so. Even when we lived in NYC it seemed weird to people.

  • As a dad who takes care of his kids I can totally relate with the bottom left panel.
