  • The original context of this quote. Which has suspiciously been removed, is in reference to subscription models taking off.

    The original quote is more along the line of "a subscription model isn't feasible unless gamers get used to the idea of not owning their games"

    So really any line of logic is flawed because it misrepresents the original comment.

    Never push a national identity onto someone from Northern Ireland. Because that's also a political Identity

    In general British is a national identity. English/Scottish/Welsh would be a cultural identity.

    You would call them what they say they are.

  • The problem is gamers don't care about context. They just care about circlejerking each other to seem cool. It's why most of the comments in relation to this are some variation of "people still buy Ubisoft games".

    It's not about being right it's about looking cool.

  • From the average user's perspective, there is no real need.

    Back in the day your 0.2 megapixel camera would take up a lot of space. That's not the case anymore, especially with cloud storage and being able to just plug your phone into a computer and take the files off it that way.
