Which is good – but it will take at least 20 years until they operate. And the US doesnt need 6 – they need 600. And until 2050, so in 26 years. Too little, too late, too slow.
'Few years' – there has been no Nuclear Power Plant in the last 50 years, which has been built faster than 15 years – except for Chinese ones.
Also 'can be put almost everywhere' is quiet a stretch. For example french has build a lot of NPPs at rivers, which now shut down in Summer due to drought.
Lets see if the tech is still relevant in 20 years once its ready. Other energy sources are getting cheaper, as well as storages. And nuclear power is slow due to high safety requirements.
Maybe I am wrong and they don't need 20 years to build a nuclear power plant and I would celebrate this as a win for the planet – but I highly doubt nuclear will play any significant role in the transition to green energy.
I just double checked, because I couldn't believe this, but you are right. If you ask about estimates of the Sudanese war (starting in 2023) it reports estimates between 5.000–15.000.
Its seems like Gemini is highly politically biased.
But blocking arms and ressource shipments to Russia is not an Option, because (and that is a quote): 'We are advocating to going back to diplomacy and value the territorial integrity of every country, but do not intervene into internal affairs of Russia.'
How is the unprovoked attack of Russia on Ukraine something to not intervene, but the war of Israel on Palestine after the attack of Hamas on October 7th is?
That's just double standards exposed. Either you see yourself as a global power, supporting weaker countries and the right side or you focus on your internal affairs and do not intervene. But only supporting countries if it fits your own strategy is inconsistent.
Edit: Nevermind, its just unions blocking the arms deals, not the government.
Which has one said about this city, only about Bahmut – which is a strategically irrelevant city. This city however is pretty important.
Nevertheless, Putins meatgrinder is still running extra hours and thousands of Russians are dying for his imperial ambitions every month. But it seems like unless the supporters of Ukraine send more weapons, the meatgrinder will grind more Ukrainians and not only Russians.
It was Russia that tried to negotiate a treaty with the US. And the US said 'fuck you, ask Ukraine, not us'. Its Russia treating Ukraine like a puppet state, not the US.
Yes, Eurorovision is only for whites – it has nothing to do with being part of the European broadcast union.
Or maybe...all countries in Europe has a majority white population and Eurovision is mainly european.
Btw: Marocco has participated in the ESC as well, but decided against joining again. Also Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya and Tunisia are allowed to join, but they also decide every year against it. But I guess these are countries with a 'white enough' population, too?
Its just sad. It really seems like Russian Imperialism wins at the end. Guess Georgia or Moldova is next. Every country, which is bordering Russia and not either a puppet state, stronger as Russia or in NATO, can expect to be the next.
Also 'plausibly' is is a term used if something isn't complety against the rules of law or nature. For example its plausible that someone robbed me yesterday. That says nothing about it happening.
