  • Hey when I was 12 I- hold on a second!

  • While I agree that the murder of the CEO can be morally justified in certain aspects, we have to face the facts. Murder is murder, and I believe glorification of it is wrong. Wouldn’t the killing of a CEO just lead to the appointment of another, making the whole thing pointless? It’s possible that a new CEO will do things differently, but they’d probably do more or less the same. In the end, all the murder achieves is CEOs fearing for their safety and eventually hiring bodyguards, making them even more disconnected from society, and even less likely to donate to charity or the poor. For these reasons, I think lemmy.world is doing the right thing, I don’t think that murder of anyone not convicted of war crimes should be glorified, I’d prefer to stay neutral on such topics.

  • I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who watched this movie, and to think Linux users did too!

  • “Nome” or “guh-nome,” that is the question

  • In my opinion, technology keeps improving, however that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s getting better. I think innovation in technology peaked from the 2000s to the early 2010s, after this period however, it has continually become more and more “enshitified,” meaning that features no one wanted suddenly being added. For example, “ai coffee maker” (this is real), like who asked for this? Not to mention, not only is everything more bloated, but levels of privacy have decreased significantly; every aspect of your digital life is capitalized on for advertising. The early 2010s were simpler times.

  • Most people say “Zoomer/Zoomers” or just plain “Gen Z.” I thought you were talking about a hybrid generation at first!

  • This would be awesome, but something else I thought of would be DRM. If you don’t have the correct version (like Linux and a few android custom roms) then you would stream at really low quality. So if you even came up with a free smart tv os, it would lack quality streaming

  • Also, Ladybird is looking very promising, so in a few years we should have a true fourth browser engine.

  • I wouldn’t say better, it is all based on preference. And it was already mentioned.

  • So you think it is from the manufacturer?

  • What an awesome implementation for Lemmy!

  • While this is true, Discord has a massive user base, so it’s somewhat a privacy win for the common person

  • Yes I am the next Picasso!

  • I myself use voyager, but there are many different clients available.

  • Is there any justification for this? Is it still about Hamas now?

  • Yes! Communism is rampant on there! Not that I’m against it, but they will mass downvote anyone who asks a question that’s against their views. Anyone else?

  • A non existent country, maybe part of France/Spain?

  • Beetle Adventure Racing! A masterpiece!

Ending support for Windows 10 could send 240 million computers to the landfill. Why not install Linux on them?
