If he does drop out of the debate again, I bet they could get him to recommit by going all Biff Tannen on his ass:

He'll bristle, and say he's no chicken and agree to debate Kamala.

In all seriousness, I was surprised agreed to debate her at all, given that he has nothing to gain. Best cash scenario, he tries the same approach he used with Biden, turning his mouth into a fire hose of lies, and Biden couldn't keep up. With Kamala, she'd just laugh at his lies, and actually refute him with facts, he'd look just awful in comparison.

At this point I doubt he'll actually show up to the debate.

I hadn't considered the possibility of an AI trained to be a scientist until two weeks ago when a Kurzgesagt video brought it up. Funny to see that being worked on.

I need to circle back and try the game again, the same thing happened with Subnautica, took a few tries to get enough momentum to get established and have fun exploring.

They also planned to use cameras and facial recognition to analyze customers, figure out gender, age, etc, then build profiles on individual customers and how much of a price hike they could stomach and dynamically price per customer.

I mean, that's like cartoonishly evil behavior, but they're willing to try it if it means more money. So of course companies across the U.S. increased prices under the guise of inflation, because infinite growth is the expectation, never too much money right? Law makers will need to step in to curb some of the worst examples of all of t his greedflation.

That's super cool, but also more of a novelty then something you'd actually want to use to game.

Oh hot damn I'm so relieved. I was pretty worried she'd go with Shapiro, and then have a solid argument against her based on his service in the Israeli military. After seeing multiple people on lemmy say "They shouldn't choose Tim Walz.... we want to keep him for our selves", that seemed like a solid endorsement by his constituents. Then Bernie endorsed the guy, so I feel pretty damn good about this selection if it proves to be true.

Voyager was always hit or miss for me, but I always enjoyed the concept of an emergency medical hologram.

When a moral panic happens, a lot of things get blown out of proportion. A good example was the panic relating to D&D and satanism. There was a huge panic sometime in the 50s or 60s about the police dealing with young thugs with concealed switch blades, which could be hidden, and then deployed one handed so fast a cop couldn't draw his weapon fast enough. So this panic got a lot of laws drawn up to ban any switch blade.

Since then, the there are knives that skirt the law by not having a spring which force the blade open, instead a tension bar. There are still types are illegal to carry if a Cop would find out you have it, like "Out the front" switch knives.

The stupid part is, there are plenty of "one hand deployable" knives on the market that are 100% legal. But the laws never get revisited. In my state it's illegal to have a out the front switch blade, yet a bunch of high end OTF knives are for sale at a sporting store. They just post a sign that says "Know your local laws", which some how makes it okay to sell.

But even still, why bother? If Doctor Doom was always going to be 100% CGI, not as big of a deal. But the character can take off his suit of armor, and is a "leader" of a country. Argue, it just reeks of desperation on Marvel's part to capture some of the excitement RDJ used to generate for them in their hay day.
