9520, everything works but the trackpad sometimes has terrible lag. It's a common issue, some also report it on Windows. Don't care enough to ask IT to replace it.

Maybe you can use what those tl;dr bots on lemmy use.

It is only bad in the sense that it could be so much more, but it certainly is the best we have for phones atm.

https://nobaraproject.org/ There is really no reason not to try. You can just try a bootable USB first to see if Linux works for you and your hardware config. It's a great way to test things and determine what distro and desktop environment works for you.

Same here! It's such a lovely engine. Conceptually a lot easier to grasp than other ones and first class support for Linux.

Depending on your audience (don't overestimate your audience!) you might also want to have a look at the material from The Carpentries. The participatory live coding style works really nicely in workshops for minimally technical beginners. Also don't make the assignments too hard, or give multiple difficulty levels.

Also better isolation of applications and better support for multiple screens.

Also much cheaper there. And you have a lot of pubs to go to. And you can drink them when you're 16.

I don't use Windows, but doesn't the LTSC and/or Enterprise edition come with better defaults?

Just because they haven't been checked yet doesn't mean they won't run. About 75% of the games that were tested were compatible with the Steam Deck. Also, all emulators work on Linux too and sometimes even better than on Windows. The number of games that are available to you on Linux is simply massive.

Joe Biden would probably be one of the more right wing members in the liberal party here (which is a right wing party). The US definitions of liberal and conservative are totally out of touch with the actual philosophical/ideological underpinnings of those terms.

This seems a little exaggerated. For example, over 10k games are Steam Deck playable/verified.

Such an unbelievably talented and driven group of people. Having a full blown version of Fedora on Apple silicon would probably convince me to buy a macbook for my next laptop.

Honest question: what are the limitations? Most articles online compare it with FAT, which isn't really an interesting comparison.
