  • Could be both! But yeah, I think humans are curious by nature and need to exercise their problem solving muscles, regardless of what topic of interest. An engineer will be solving problems using math and physics, but a musician or a poet will have their own problems to be solved in their respective areas using the tools of their crafts.

  • You do you man. We all got different hands and preferences and physical dimensions, as well as different usable desk space. It's silly to draw lines in the sand about peripherals. Personally, I like my giant gaming keyboard with macro keys and whatnot. I program the extra keys to do things as needed. But I wouldn't force that on anyone who wants a smaller form factor. Hell now we can even get picky on how much actuation force, key travel, and sound of key press. A keyboard for every preference!

  • I always thought it was fascinating how much he gets to say he has no knowledge or memory of anything. It's like wow, why are you even president if you don't know or remember anything ever? The obvious tactic should have been mocking and ridiculing him BETTER than he mocks and ridicules everyone. His insults are trash tier. The left should have just roasted the shit out of him back in 2016.

  • Life's a hell of a trip man. I was 34 before getting diagnosed with ADHD, which made my entire life suddenly made sense. Oh, turns out I have narcolepsy too, and I've been punished for my sleep patterns and issues my entire childhood. Who knew narcolepsy isn't necessarily how it's portrayed in movies?

  • Do you know what the value should be considering it's PE and whatnot? And whatever that is, is going to take a dive once the sales impacts are fully felt in the coming quarters. International sales are going to evaporate. Domestic probably as well. Prices going to increase from tariffs and supply chain issues. And competitors are making them look amateur in terms of build quality. Oh and Cyber Truck.

  • Quirk - a peculiar behavioral habit.

Ehh, I'd say it's probably a poor fit for pedophilia. Maybe the actual act of sleeping with children could be considered a "quirk" but as a sexuality probably not.

But if you're talking about a My Hero Academia reference, then it's the shittiest ability I've heard of!

  • Hmm, we've lost our philosophical heart. Interesting. I feel like I knew this in my gut but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I like the way you phrased this, I'll have to remember it.

  • Microsoft is an Eldritch hydra monstrosity. I think it has become its own civilization. I think it's so large that it just exists as a self sustaining chaos phenomena. I don't think the organization can make a decision. One department of thousands makes a decision. And they all jostle about breaking each other's shit every other day.

  • "The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'"

    -Isaac Asimov

  • Yeah, they are literally begging maga idiots to buy TSLA to keep the price up while executives are unloading shares. International sales completely gone. Domestic sales declining. Cybertruck flopped. Tariffs are going to cripple their production. Competing EV are making TSLA look like amateurs. Like, what's the upside?
