Every single career is literally filled with under performing unqualified workers. The Peter Principle will always be around
Edit: i had to fire a licensed physician that wanted to attempt cranial sacral therapy on me a couple months ago. The odds people are incompetent is a lot higher than people think, even among professionals.
"As a ________, this is my opinion about a related topic to the field in which I'm in...."
It's the Internet. No one needs your credentials. People lie about credentials all the time anyways. People cheat through college. It's a humble brag, nothing more. Just give us your thoughts, not your resume.
I can barely afford Perkins let alone a vegan restaurant.
Having morals is not cheap. I feel for you having to see other people eat food they can afford, that must be really hard, but a lot of people literally DON'T have the luxury, calorie to dollar, to be vegan. And no, eating rice and beans every day is not an acceptable diet.
Me too. I always thought of Nokia as genuine innovator's delivery good products. Not fantastic products. But good products with CONSUMERS in mind and their usage habits, rather than designing phones around optimizing selling us things.
I downloaded a third party app that re enables the windows 10 taskbar and lets you put it on the side. It's called ExplorerPatcher. Cannot believe you can't dock the win 11 taskbar on the side....what a choice....
Alcohol makes more babies to keep the labor flowing so rich people can keep getting richer. Don't abort it, that's against religion. Just keep it alive until it can work. This is my tinfoil hat theory.
The post I'm replying to was acting as if they had some new wisdom from being polyamorous and their perspective on marriage. But it sounds like they're just using it as a business move which is something a lot of non polyamorous people do as well, and nothing new. I wasn't asking what reasons could possibly exist to get married outside of romance or whatever you're talking about, I was asking SPECIFICALLY THEM why they bothered, with their "unique" perspective on relationships. But it seems the only actual reason they have is taxes, despite their diatribe.
No, you are a misunderstanding me. The post I'm replying to was acting as if they had some new wisdom from being polyamorous and their perspective on marriage. None of those reasons require marriage, so it's not a satisfying reason. I want to know why MARRIAGE, specifically? Just checking it off a bucket list perhaps?
I know this isn't a common takeaway, but I'm all for it.
The current state of call centers is EXCRUCIATINGLY painful for consumers and only exists in the form it does to commodify US for the company. We tolerate the shit experience of call centers, so companies don't need to pay more money to give us a better experience. That's why they exist, the only reason. If firing them all and turning them into AI makes the experience even SLIGHTLY less painful than calling your local public assistance help line, I'm all for it. If I can bypass 4 separate phone tree selection menus with 3 minutes of wait time with the crackling loud wait music between being passed around departments, I'm all for it. These are shit dead end jobs with no upside whatsoever.
So you think they've been making entirely new games for their entire existence? You don't think it's conny at all that literally all they do is make city builders and sell DLCs and then make a new one when interest dries up? Doesn't seem very creative or innovative in my opinion it sounds like pure capitalism. Publisher is a microcosm EA.
Has anyone here noticed how it's almost impossible to watch a TikTok on mobile if you don't have an account or the app? My friend sends me links and I click it but the website opens playing it muted and it only plays the TikTok one time, no repeating. Then it prompts me to install the app. If I say I don't want to the unmute button disappears and I'm unable to play the TikTok again with sound. The only way to do it is to refresh which just prompts me to download the app again after being played the TikTok one time with no sound. Aggravating as all hell.
This team has been making the exact same game for multiple decades. Look at this developer's game history. It is literally the same exact game redeveloped over and over every few years and then they repackage and resell the same DLCs for the new versions. What a con of a game dev.
Tbh, the game wasn't even that good. After the first 5-6 hours most people put it down. It just becomes frustrating and not fun.
