  • Cycles get quicker near the end of the night. Though I'm not sure how waking up effects things.

But those last cycles tend to be the most important. And studies have shown even trying but failing to fall asleep gives some benefit of actually falling asleep.

  • Yea, I went to a relatively cheap college. Tuition was about 8k a year when I started and 12k when I graduated, this didn't include living expenses or housing. I worked on average 30 hours a week and full time during the summers. I left with about 20k in loans. I worked and saved while living at my parents home and paid them off in about 3 years. I was lucky to be in a position to do this, all the while making less than 15 an hour.

Then a few years later when there was talk of people getting their debt forgiven, my mother says " that's not fair, you worked hard to get out of it, they should too." And I stood there in shock, thinking who cares if I worked hard to pay off my loans, it doesn't mean others should have to. I don't want others to go through what I sacrificed if they don't have to.

  • I believe those numbers are calculated as full time jobs. So 2 jobs offering 20 hours a week only count as one. Hard to say how many are part time though. And not many jobs paying min was get filled these days, there's a lot of options above the minimum.

  • I have lots of family all claiming Biden and Harris have botched this recovery after Helene, and it's the Dems fault we give so much money to other countries and (their words here) "illegals", while those effected by Helene only get 750 because there is nothing left.

    It's frustrating.

  • I'd also like to compare that to the average American. I suspect most people have done even worse than 11% in the last six years, which is why they don't support these things. It's not 'fair' they won't get a similar treatment. It's sad how many don't want others to succeed because they are in a bad place.
