It's probably going to be ruled driver error by Logan, since it appears he is just completely unaware the other car was there. The move was aggressive but more space could have been left by Logan imo.
I think some of the "growth" will be lurkers that start posting more. The word of mouth or other social media growth will probably be very slow after the big surges of members from reddit.
The communities I browse seem more active or at least as active as they were a couple months ago.
They said in China that the team had asked the broadcasters to start calling them vcarb since that's what the team uses. Both RB and VCARB sound dumb to me but it's racing so who cares about the branding as long as the racing is good imo.
Five manufacturers in the top eight is pretty good imo. It may not be a photo finish out front every weekend but there's definitely action throughout the field that we lost for awhile before these regs. It's been fun to watch.
Some people probably mean that, while others want a literal transplant or reddit without spez pulling the strings. Part of the challenge of new communities is figuring out what you are, and I think Lemmy is still deep in that stage.
This is how I see things as well. I moved away from lemmy.world because one of their updates completely fucked my account, and since then I've noticed more people doing the same, or complaining about issues with federation.
Anyone who expects Lemmy to become the new reddit is both setting themselves up for disappointment and missing out on the enjoyment of a smaller community imo. People can use reddit/facebook/twitter for doom scrolling if that's their thing.
