  • Yeah, my friend was over it as soon as he saw humans sent the same exact general who got his ass kicked the first time back to try to do the exact same thing. Obviously it can't be 100% realistic but if there was any suspension of disbelief at all it could have been so much better

  • Wikipedia as an organization does this?? News to me so I'd love a source on that. I would not be surprised if people that work at Wikipedia donate to charitable causes or speak out about social issues, but that's a very different thing called free speech

  • The first one that Google literally highlights, if you click it, it says that verbal contracts are binding but purchases of goods over $500 is an exception.

If you're not talking about the first search result, maybe link to an actual source instead of the search results.

  • There are other solutions but they're significantly more expensive and human society isn't ready to pay that cost. It's helpful to call out the biggest companies that have the ability to actually make the situation better, even if they can't singlehandedly fix it themselves.

  • Unfortunately Trump's best and only defense right now is that this is all a deep state witch hunt and he's being treated unfairly by the justice system. The way to not let that defense gain any traction is to make it painfully obvious to any observer that they are handling Trump as a defendant with kid gloves.

    1. Pay $0 to use a product from a business that is losing money
    2. Business makes a policy change to try to convince you their product is worth paying for, but still let's you use a version of it for FREE
    3. Wow this company sucks, I've given them nothing and they're taking everything away

In a capitalist society you speak with your money. It's the only language businesses speak. If you're not giving a company any money they're not going to cater their product to you, plain and simple.

  • Buddy you are so wrong lol, look at this screenshot and tell me what the comment at the very top says?

Oh look, it's you hyperbolizing about people being forced to operate on someone who raped and murdered their family.

Then, as a CHILD COMMENT to yours, I make my very first comment in this thread.

Then you tell me I'm using hyperbole and try to discredit me.

Absolutely incredible the arrogance you have for someone that can't even proof read your own arguments.

  • Hmmm let's stay on topic. I didn't say I support collective punishment of Palestine or anyone. I said missiles aren't the same thing as border restrictions, because they clearly aren't. Do you actually disagree?

  • I responded with hyperbole to your hyperbole about doctors being forced to treat patients that had raped and murdered their family. But anyway, you're clearly set on seeing it your way, and lacking in critical think skills, so have a good day in your own little world buddy.

  • That's also an incredibly unlikely scenario that I would wager no human being has ever actually faced. We should build societal rules and norms around things that generally actually happen, not the most extreme or 'nuanced' versions of a scenario we can imagine.

By your logic we should have one hospital and a unique set of staff for each religion, one for felons, one for each race, etc. So that each doctor can work only on patients that they think deserve their help.

  • I think you'd get your point across better if you just came out and said which of the two groups of human beings you are okay with being slaughtered the most. Seems like you're stopping short of making your actual point here and I can't quite figure out why....

  • And in a way there is no "normal" to begin with. No one describes or thinks of themselves as "normal" when asked. Everyone in some way or another wishes they could just be Normal. "Normal" is what everyone else is, but not who any one specific person is - it's generally unachievable in a literal sense.

  • Not sure you're going to be able to make me feel sorry for the Kim Jong Un regime. They do terrible things to their people and while the US is far from perfect, I really don't think we're the shittier neighbor. I don't think we're enslaving anyone either but if you have a source I'd be happy to read about it.

  • If I had a poor neighbor that relied on me for food and financial support during hard times and then turned around and told everyone what a piece of shit I am and how much they're going to fuck me up next time they see me, and how much better their car is than mine? Yeah, I would call them out for their shitty ass car when they pulled it out of the driveway and the door was duct taped on. And I wouldn't really feel that bad about it.
