  • It's good to keep pounding this info to normies. Maybe they'll understand one day.

  • Java is baxkbone of modern web app and a privacy and security nightmare.

JavaScript. Two very different things. Though Java can also be as it's used in backend quite a lot.

  • they emulate just the OS

Containers don't emulate anything. They have an OS installed within them. Typically you use Alpine Linux which super minimalistic and lightweight.

  • Groovy and Kotlin borrowing heavily from Java. Groovy and Kotlin are also very similar to each other.

  • You do have a Void type in Java if you really must specify a return type and don't want to return anything e.g. services and their tasks in JavaFx. The Task must have a return type thus you can use Void if the task doesn't actually return anything.

  • Doesn't have a significant impact. Using Telegram (though third party OSS client called Forkgram) and Signal without Play services on pixel as well.

  • Great game. They also update it regularly with new content for free. There's a new paid expansion coming soon.

Edit: Currently have played it for 740h.

  • Enabling DoH with max protection probably solves that.

  • Use MS Edge

Use Chrome. Edge is a minority browser (has a market share of ~10 %). Using chrome though gives all your data to google ( so not recommended).

  • No google on device no tracking, and I don't use google services anyhow (with first party clients anyhow). I do have google play services installed but no google account so they don't have an identity to connect the data they might be able to collect from the phone. Only google service I use is youtube but that's with third party clients only (FreeTube & NewPipe) over vpn of course.

  • Have a look at Grayjay for youtube and other video sites.

  • If it's a matroska (mkv) file you can use mktoolnix (use the header editor) to set default tracks.
