  • Odd, I was pretty happy when I got the update. I always thought it was odd that servers and PMs were mixed somewhat in the UI, and hard to distinguish between.

People just don't like things being different than they were ig.

Or is there another change I didn't notice that had people bothered?

  • There's a rather simple explanation for this. Politics has become engrained into many parts of our culture, to the point where at times it's indistinguishable from personality, or outlook. Something as simple as a disagreement about tax laws wouldn't normally endanger a relationship. But something more life changing, and effects the every day, would—and that's increasingly what politics are effecting and related too. When someone says 'Trump Voter' you don't think "Person who voted for Trump and I know nothing else about them."

You automatically assume many non political things including stuff all the way from whether they only practice missionary sex, to whether they only drive pickup trucks.

When someone says "I wouldn't marry a trump voter" they aren't necessarily saying they'd never marry someone of a different political affiliation, they're saying that wouldn't marry the stereotypical persona of a "Trump Voter."

Much like when I say "Karen" I'm not just talking about anyone with the name Karen.

  • Seriously though, people way over gate-keep cooking. It's not hard to get into, at all. Just practice, and don't feel bad about following recipes to a tee. Even once you get better, there's nothing saying you have to create your own recipes. If you enjoy the process of cooking but not the rest, fuck putting limitations on something as simple as making food and do your own thing

  • Well, to be fair, I've had people get annoyed with me for saying Merry Christmas in the past (I'm not particularly religious, but I was raised to say it and it's a habit to break)

It's all subjective. Just because you haven't had something said to you, or even haven't seen or heard of someone saying it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

  • America has some of the most fun, interesting, intermingled culture you'll see. That's not to say bad things don't happen,or that you shouldn't try to fix those things—but there will always be something that you can choose to live your life by as an excuse to be hateful. If you're obsessed with always being mad about something, you'll always be mad about something, and if you're obsessed with looking at all the negatives and ignoring the positives you'll never be happy
