  • Given the context of OP, that's good for them, no?

  • Context: They are not unfair.

They are just not as outrageously and ridiculously high as say, American medical salaries, in the aggregate.

I mean, one is Socialised healthcare, the other is whatever private insurance madness Americans have. Where people can lose their home due to a broken leg, in fees. That is not really happening in Finland or Canada. Unless it is some extreme case.

  • Yes. And they know you won't do shit about it. After all, if they stick around, from their perspective, they think you are theirs.

  • In fairness, this was always the case. But if you said this, back in 2022, NPCs who could not even find Ukraine on a map weeks prior, would call you a "Putin puppet." Regardless of valid points or reasoning.

Not the first time the USA has done this, the war on Iraq, twice, or the decades long Operation Condor, just name some examples.

  • You think? How many times does Google getting sued for questionable or anti-Trust behaviour do you need?

By now, no one should be using them if they can do so. Or at least in an extremely limitedl fashion. For their and our sake. Since Google's harm can reach societal levels.

Remember, they themselves are the ones who stopped using their own mantra of Don't be Evil.

  • Google: "Hey, do not be evil."

Google years later: "Can I has all the profits and personal data?”

Google after that: " I am the Lizard Queen!"

  • Yup. Running it on my home router, right now. It is awesome. A tiny, stripped down OS that you can install minimal packages on. Like a VPN client, or ad-blockers. If your router is compatible, I cannot suggest it enough.

Also, my router's manufacturer had the gall to ask (force) me to sign up and get an ID with them in order to get to the back-end of my own router. Jesus Christ, privacy red flag much?

I could not install OpenWRT fast enough.

  • Agreed. Methodology is garbage. In fact, according to it, the people who had the least risk were those who had Cancer. LOL.

Aggregate age was 48.5 and BMI was something around 28.5. 10%+ of those in the study already had Cancer or other serious COVs. Not peer reviewed, in fact it was just an abstract given in a presentation.

This is a perfect example of lying by statistical chicanery, too.
It is irresponsible to run those headlines since most will never read the study. Also study has the logo of the American Heart Stroke Society. The same agency that shills their logo to cereal brands. Who knew that they would want you to not skip American styled breakfast.

The “study” was actually an abstract from a conference presentation.

  • True. But they did that. Anyway. That is technically Anti-Trust. Thus in essense illegal. That is why uber tried shilling that they are not an employer but merely a service as to seem that they were skimming the Law that they knew they were breaking in Spirit. They aren't stupid. But know many are, so why not exploit them? If we are smart, they thought, they could drive Taxis out of business, be the big dog in the sector and surge price their way into profit. At will. It is not like this type of shit has not been attempted before.

Also, Uber simply transfered the costs of running its fleets, upkeep, maintenance, including most liability and litigation to its drivers. Not to mention that love it or hate it Taxi drivers need to pass some basic level of proficiency, for uber you could be a blatant rapist and as long as you can click on a form for 5 minutes, you are good to go.

  • It is not impossible for many. It is just not worth the risk of making more dead bodies while trying to retrieve them. So they do not bother. Callous to some but that's reality. Hell, some dead bodies are used as milestones or waypoints for some going up.

There a few though that have been lost over the years. And trying to find them is simply too risky. There was the body of a British lady who you could see a few years ago but no one can see her anymore. Likely just covered in snow/ice.

  • "Friend, remember, it is not about the end goal but about the dead bodies of other motivated people you may encounter, along the way. Be wary of the denial that one day, it could be you, who serves the same purpose to those that come after you."

  • I second this. Has a great record and arguably the most broad number of options. Only issue is that it won't recognize/open PiP on videos, like say on Invidious instances, so use: Crtl+Shift+] or bind this to whatever else you want.

Alternatively, Vimium C is not bad.

  • There are pandemics all the time. There was one in 1918, which everyone knows about because TV, there was one about 20 years prior in 1889. Also in 1956 and 1968 which next to no one knows. Unless you study the field or are in Academics.

Before that they travelled slower or where even more isolated due to general lack of travel. Also, domestication played a role.

  • Hmmm. Perhaps something that lots people took is affecting their general immune systems? Like say, something like their Interferons.

  • My guess is they are leveraging the techninical and technology illiteracy of the average consumer to not only not know this can be done but to even know how to even look it up. I have done some tech support for people that I have known for 20 years here and there and I am still oustanded at how little people know about tech outside social media sites, or have but only the most superficial knowledge on anything outside their work related applications. Many, many People just can't do their own research today specially, or so it seems in the aggregate. Unless perhaps if it is a hobby.

Also, perhaps some of these people may have shitty phones that may not have an option to install a custom ROM, too. Assuming they even know want a custom ROM even is.

  • War? Israel would not exist without the seemingly endless fountain of cash and protection the USA provides.

The USA alone has vetoed over 30 UN Resolutions condeming Israel's outright, obvious and well understood to anyone who is not a shill violations of International Law exemplified by Israel's illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories. The most for any singular country in the UN's History.

It is there for anyone to read, in black and white. Did I mentions the USA, UK and Germany go out of their way to never mention this to their own citizens?

  • If that was the case, then it is surprising how they never attack Israel.
