  • Truthfully, if people are stupid enough to buy into this hype they sort of deserve it as much as the morons who run those companies. Buyer beware and all that jazz.

We all know the meme of the Smart-BBQ that refuses to BBQ because of a failed update via wifi. If people are walking away from having a simple metal pit to amber some meat on it, then we are failing as a species. More vectors of failure just means more vectors of failure. Use KISS whenever possible. Don't fall for the 'for your convenience' trap. How ridiculous that, if true, they cannot flush a toilet that literally works on gravity.

No idea who would buy this. By definition networks will fail at some point. Same aslt avoiding subscription models as much as possible.

  • True, it is simple to use but no one who is a normie will ever use it. I have offered to help but if it is not in their workflow they won't even try if they do not care about privacy. Which few do.

  • Literally Jews pushing the German government that is centre-Left to help them call other Jews anti-semetic. As it pushes for Germany to continue sending weapons and money to kill Palestinians.

Legal experts told me that invoking Staatsräson in deportation proceedings is legally dubious. A recent parliamentary review reached a similar conclusion, noting that Staatsräson – often cited to justify Germany’s foreign policy toward Israel, including the plan of the incoming chancellor, Friedrich Merz, to invite Benjamin Netanyahu despite an active international criminal court arrest warrant – carries no legally enforceable weight.

Abraham said he had planned to return to Israel the day after the closing ceremony, but that he changed his plans during a stop-off in Greece, when he learned that Israeli media outlets were describing his speech as antisemitic, with some citing German officials.

As well as receiving death threats on social media, Abraham said several individuals turned up at his family members’ home in Israel, causing them to vacate the premises out of fear for their safety.

  • Why do you think that is the case? Honest question.

  • "In the runup to the election, parties across the spectrum, from the Greens to the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), spoke about migration as a security threat, and promised deportations and tighter controls. In this climate, Palestine has turned into somewhat of a litmus test for asylum policy."

Worth noting that the ones doing this are the Left and Center-Left parties that are IN power. As these parties are Left leaning when compared to the US Republicans and even US Democrats. To us, many Dem policies are Right of the Canadian Liberals or even our Conservarives. So much for freedom of speech.

Christian aspect aside the CDU they are closer to our Canadian Liberals in many of their policies same as the Greens. The AdF are ignored, so weird that they focus on them when they are not even the ones literally making and doing these policies.

  • You don't, neither do I. why the hell are they pushing this?

It the jingling of the keys that may sound good to some investors?

  • If you are from a Western country, use smaller, non-English speaking countries.

  • HeliBoard has had autocorrect for years. Floris is still ways off.

  • I believe you can do it from the Aurora Store under Manual Download. But you would have to have bought the app already as you would have to do it having signed on using your own account on it. Since you cannot purchase it via Aurora. I have done this for some icon packs and a few other aoos that already purchased.

Be aware, as I mentioned elsewhere, even if you download it, if the app constantly checks if you bought the app via the Playstore then unless you have the Playstore running and signed on as well, then it will likely fail to load/launch and will tell you that you have not paid for it. Even if you actually have, as it cannot verify it without the PS.

There are someapps that I have purchased, and that I can download but they will not work after they are installed.

  • Yes and no. It is more if they are intended to call home once installed. I have backed up some apps and installed them on a second phone without issues. It does depend if they call home via the PlayStore. I can tell because I do not have the Playstore installed on my phone. Some apps will try to reach the Playstore Pay(?) API to confirm if you have bought it. So even if you did before, it will check, anyways. Like, Tasker will constantly check, while some games or icon packs may not. Specially the ones that are one time payment purchases or have a separate APK like Hermit.

  • Did a bit of a deep dive a few years ago on this topic, there are hundreds of forever chemicals everywhere that Corps either do not share their studies on them, or have not been fully studied in-depth as far as related medium or long term health issues or for safety. So they will lie my omission. A study might read like, "As far as research completed, (next to 0) we have found no likely known ('cause they didn't look hard enough, or for long enough because it is expensive) health risks associated with compound XYZ at minimal or reasonable human exposure." Well, they may not be "lying" if they barely looked, right? Albeit sometimes they will lie, anyways.

It is quite shocking but makes sense when you think some Corps --and the top people within them-- can or will behave like psychopaths in their desire for profit.

They may only do serious studies if people/workers start developing illnesses or cancer or what not. And this is mostly to figure out their prospects on legal liability, not out the kindness of their hearts. Obviously.

    For example:

    https://www.ewg.org/news-insights/news-release/epa-dupont-settle-and-delay-court-case-over-human-pollution

"The penalty DuPont will reportedly pay for covering up its pollution of newborn American babies with the cancer-causing Teflon chemical will likely be $15 million. This sum amounts to just 8 percent of the maximum allowable fine.

On April 28, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrative Law Judge Barbara A. Gunning granted EPA and DuPont until August 15 to formally announce their deal. DuPont's indestructible, toxic Teflon chemical is in the blood of over 95 percent of Americans."

People should be outraged. But the average American is completely out of the loop and in the dark. Their answer when confronted as to why most Americans have Teflon chemicals in their blood was originally that they saw no side effects with that, so too bad, GTFO. No liability on their side, until workers started developing health issues.

  • Was in the market for a new phone and was thinking of getting the latest Pine phone, and upon research, I found that like others have stated, it is more of a piece of kit to tinker with and not a daily driver. The OS is still being baked and at the current rate it might take a few years before it is as responsive and as useful as Android is day in, and day out. There is just no contest. Which was a bit disappointing as I actually though the OS was far more developed.

I do hope that progress is made, but, if you need a phone that works well, then stick with Android for now. Hardware on latest Pine is better than on the first phone but still Mid, at best, and it is not cheap for the hardware you get.

  • Are there any other sources that you may know about this? This is a huge claim and one that we would benefit to have more of, as far as it can be backed up from multiple sources.

Anyone have say, video of this?

Edit: Literally, why am I getting downvoted? Because I ask for extra proof for my own sake, which is the reasonable thing to do? Relax. No wonder some people think that some on our side are crazy.

Thanks to the kind poster who took my question seriously and provide links. Thank you.
