  • Is that a fact? Are you sure? Will you recant if it comes out that the police did, in fact, plant it?

Did you just take those 2 words completely out of the context in which they were written? You sure did! I said:

All they’re doing is drawing attention to the fact that it was his gun by not denying it was his and trying to get it excluded from evidence.

I'm saying that they're essentially confirming that the gun is his by this action. Learn to read.

Myself, I’m not going to jump to “why bother having a trial? The police arrested him; he’s clearly guilty as sin” based on a Lemmy comment!

Neither am I, nor am I saying anyone else should.

  • Stop defending billionaires, they don’t care about you.

I'm not "defending billionaires", I'm correcting misinformation and rubbish. Of course Gabe doesn't care about us, I never said he did.

Just because he is a billionaire doesn't mean that he exploited, underpaid, or stole from anyone. He's a billionaire because he created the only fish in a huge pond that everyone throws money into hand over fist. Like I said, he could be paying everyone there a million dollars a year and he'd still be a billionaire because he OWNS the company. It's not a publicly traded company, it's private. He owns it.

They’re also raking in money on all these games that are also being made on the backs and labor of underpaid workers

That's got nothing to do with him. He built a marketplace and tools for people to distribute and use in their games. The working conditions of people making the games that are then sold on his marketplace has nothing to do with him.

  • This is something that I've really been thinking about lately as I get older and my kids start to grow up. I've got 60TB+ of digital data, including all my families history of photos and videos digitized which are backed up to 3 separate cloud services, onenote filled with information, password managers filled with logins and details, etc, along with my Steam/Xbox/Playstation/Epic/GOG/etc accounts with 1000+ games on them.

I'm tempted to make a website/app to try and tie it all together in an easy way tbh.

  • The fact that he is a billionaire does not mean that lol. He’s a billionaire because his company gets a cut of every sale of games on his platform, and his platform is the industry standard/default platform for digital distribution. He could be paying his employees a million a year to be a janitor and he’d still be a billionaire, no “stealing” and not one being underpaid.

  • That’s how peoples opinions work, and no matter what any judge says, people can’t just forget and disregard that they know the gun was his just because a judge tells them that they are not supposed to know it was his.

My username is randomly generated, but also not ironic in this situation. Freedom has nothing to do with this.

  • The gun isn’t the only evidence. All they’re doing is drawing attention to the fact that it was his gun by not denying it was his and trying to get it excluded from evidence. Even if they win this argument and get the gun excluded, they’ve basically confirmed that the gun was his in doing so.

  • It does if you want people to believe the gun wasn’t yours. The gun isn’t the only evidence, and not denying it’s yours but trying to get it excluded from evidence confirms that it was yours and you’re trying to hide it. It screams guilty.

  • I do sometimes, mainly when it’s a car park with crap visibility as it means it will be easier getting out. I can reverse park easily, and having a rear vision camera means there’s zero risk of hitting anything anyway.

Also means the kids are further from the road when getting into/out of the car.
