Excuse? What are you even arguing here for? That because Israel is killing civilians in Gaza, the murder of an unrelated person is not bad because he was jew?

I think bombing civilians is bad and going after people because of their religion is also bad. You don't actually need to choose either or.

The horseshoe theory holds true in many cases. Far ends of the spectrum have more in common with eachother than they do with the people on the middle. Antisemitism is a good example of something you find in both extremes. Calls for violence is another example.

Homeless and van-life people for example tend to favour these kinds of parking lots for when they need a place to park overnight and sleep in their vehicles. Some other stores send staff knocking on your window and telling you to go elsewhere.

I'm not sure about Home Depot but Walmart is known for letting people camp in their cars on the parking lot where as many other stores don't so I assume this is a joke about IT people sleeping in their cars on the Best Buy parking lot.

Jokes aside, I made that account because I wanted to try how Lemmy would be like if I cleared my 1000 users long blocklist (that you were on too) and instead try using word filters to filter out individual toxic messages rather than blocking the whole user just because one of their messages grinded my gears.

On a side note. I went thru your post history a little and saw you defending southeners against the generalizations made about them and though you were being quite reasonable there, and probably heavily downvoted for it as is the case with Lemmy. This is exactly why I wanted to try alternative methods to blocking - it's just too blunt of a tool.

Interesting that people find this surprising when it's not surprising to me at all. This is the kind of people young men go to when they get chased away from more mainstream platforms.

These systems often cause issues and it may be quite expensive to repair but if you bypass it, it doesn't affect the performance of the vehicle.

My mortage payments for one year would cover all maintenance I've done to the house during the 8 years I've lived here including an entire bathroom remodel. Obviously someone less handy would need to hire someone to do the jobs I've done myself so that helps a little with the costs, but still. The maintenance costs for my house aren't even in the top 5 expenses I have.

Obviously you should post about it on Lemmy, upvote other posts about it and go into the comments telling the other people who despise him how much you do too. That should do the trick.

Highly dependent on where one lives I guess. My friend just rented a new apartment and his rent is over double what my mortage payments are. That's also money he is never getting back where as in my case my house is paid in about 15 years after which I own the damn thing and the monthly mortage payment drops off entirely. Excluding mortage, the montly cost of owning my house is 275€ which includes water and electricity.
