  • That’s the logical conclusion to draw when someone is criticizing the celebration of a vigilante murderer.

No, I think we need more people like him. Much more. I'm sure that's a wonderful world to live in.

  • Fun fact, a recent study reported that cis women have an advantage over trans women in sports due to their higher testosterone levels allowing them to build more muscle mass.

It's more nuanced than that. It depends on how long you've lived as a male before transitioning and how long ago you transitioned. Also not all trans people are taking hormones.

  • I especially like the crybaby bitch in the end which makes sure the people this is directed at just double down on their stance. Perfect example of what's wrong with U.S. politics.

    Also not a meme.

  • For real. We already saw this with the first Trump presidency. An insane amount of speculation and fearmongering about what could happen and then turns out the vast majority of it in-fact did not happen and the people spreading these speculations pay zero reputational cost for being completely wrong. People are so incredibly addicted to drama it's insane.

  • I'm with you on this one. I tell the truth even when it's potentially harmful to me. However, it also holds you accountable because it prevents one from doing things they would have the urge to lie about in the future.

Also, not lying doesn't mean radical honesty. Just that you don't say things that are untrue. I think lying is only acceptable when used to prevent violence - kind of like violence is also acceptable when defending yourself. So if there are nazies on the door asking wether you have Anne Frank on the attic, it's okay to lie.

  • And instead use what? Signal? And then chat with the zero other people who use it?

Telling europeans to not use whatsapp is like telling people not to use the power grid. It's more popular here than iMessages are in the US.
