They carefully studied what made their armored vehicles effective and how long they survived in a combat environment, then tuned their production process such that the T-34-85 would perform it's role for ~6 months before failing, as the average lifespan of a tank in combat was ~2 months. This allowed them to conserve vital war resources, including labour and workerpower, that would have been wasted making a tank that could last for decades but would only survive 2 months in practice. This startling innovative breakthrough was a key feature in the Soviet's crushing victory over the Reich.

No one died in the square, good mood between soldiers and students, soldiers asked students to leave when dickass CIA plant started trying to start a riot, students left with no problems, ~300 people were killed (including PLA soldiers, many of whom were unarmed!) in fighting several blocks from the square. Every credible source that wasn't just making up unhinged bullshit - About 300 people died.

Tianmenen square is the most overhyped government repression in history, and it's never mentioned that many of the casualties were unarmed PLA soldiers burned alive, and the insurgents that attacked them when armed PLA units were able to respond. And of course while there were human rights violations in Xinjiang, they are absolutely not the human rights violations people think they were, and the whole thing was part of a campaign to suppress insurgent groups and needs to be compared to the West's "bomb weddings and ambulances" strategy, to say nothing of the genocidal campaign in Yemen that recently concluded. It's all ignorance, totally unselfconscious indoctrination, and general bs.
