  • I have a life altering physical disability from a dog attack while working delivery, two dogs ran around her when the client opened the door. It required surgery, years of PT and I am no longer able to stand or walk for more than a few hours. I live my life in constant pain because of another person's recklessness.

That poor child, what an atrocious way to die. This careless woman is a monster. But more over, people need to understand that dogs are dangerous, just because they are friendly with YOU does not mean they aren't a threat to others.

  • I'm absolutely not, I'm just saying that a noose made from CNN camera cables serves the same function as one from Fox News cables.

Not wanting to kill people does not mean I am defending them, and if that level of ... lets call it nuance.... is too much for you, then we are on such different planes of reality that I don't actually care much what you think of me.

  • i don't condone violence

i just think she has needed a punch in that stupid mouth of hers

    These are mutually exclusive.

  • Thank you for the recognition Mike! I am prepared to personally accept whatever award you have for making God angry. It'd be a goddamn pleasure!

  • There is absolutely no moral high ground here and your line of thinking doesn't work in this context.

Fuck the moral high ground, punch Nazis before they take over your government

That's not what was happening here though, this wasn't praxis to stopping hateful rhetoric, it's a man feeling entitled to shake his female coworkers when they are upset. This is mysgonsy, not direction action. Punch Nazis when they say Nazi shit, not when they talk about meaningless censures.

If they’re Nazis in government, they deserve worse than a punch

This is what Jan. 6thers said about "the deepstate" actors. Are you tying up a noose for Pence as well?

  • ITT: Assaulting a woman isn't a crime if I don't like her.

I'm not trying to play at civility politics here, just reminding people that #MeToo and believe women wasn't that long ago. Without question, MTG is a monster, but we vote her out instead of cheering violence, January 6th also wasn't that long ago and we as a society need to be better than those idiots instead of wishing harm to the elected.

It's not funny to say she deserved it, that's just repackaging the "she was asking for it" trope.

  • No argument that she is an awful person but encouraging violence is pretty awful too. I get the impulse, but you need to reconsider what you are saying.

  • Right wing: I shouldn't have to get a vaccine or wear a mask! Respect my bodily rights!

Also the right wing: I personally get to dictate what happens with every single womb.

  • I'm stuck somewhere between getting my GF a memorable Christmas gift and giving a dirtbag money...

  • Dec 31st 1949.

I'm a queer woman, so these sort of time travel questions boil down to preserving as many rights as I can.

  • Good! Great! I hope it leads to change!

For all the talk by transphobes about "protecting women's sports", they do shockingly little to actually help those groups.

  • Yuuuup. Oh well. At this pint I think it would be more embarrassing to go back and edit. 😂

  • I wonder if Derek is now realizing that the entire system he worked for and upheld only produces violence. It's not that he shouldn't be stabbed, but that no one in the justice system should be subject to the violence he himself subjected on others, like Floyd. Truly hosted by his own peitard.

And for that reason, my sympathies are limited.

  • Nehls claimed, without evidence, that the Ethics Committee had been “weaponized” against Santos.

“You may accept this report as grounds for expulsion from Congress, but I say no,” Nehls said. “It’s not right. The totality of circumstance appears biased. It stinks of politics.”

Any amount of ethics will always be resisted by Republicans. 🙄
