Much like I will openly criticize the Chinese or Russian governments, I do not wish harm on Chinese or Russian people who are the ones that suffer from those officials, I will also criticize Flordia and other southern states but wish only good things for citizens in those states.
All of us are victims of gerrymandering and corporate lobbying. Individuals should not suffer because of the negligence or greed of their leaders, many of which do not support those people.
This wasn't a kid knocking at the wrong door in the middile of the day.
This was a 2 AM and break in where the guy busted a window to get at the door handle. This is WAY MORE than just knocking or a misunderstanding. I would agree that mistakes or even simple burglary don't deserve the death penalty, BUT... if he was aggressive enough to be smashing things in the middle of the night after banging on the door and windows, then what would he also be aggressive and mistaken about when he got inside? At a certain point being concerned for your own safety is legitmate and we crossed that line awhile ago.
Thank you for the suggestions! I mean, the SteamOS was really my only touch point for linux gaming, I haven't paid attention much to linux since trying wine out like a.... decade ago? I'll give those distros a look and see what feels right! β₯
Oh I am definitely a very patient gamer, my GF talked me in to baulders gate with her. But it's been years since I bought something new. The majority of my steam library is indie stuff. I poked around on ProtonDB and it looks like 70% of my library is rated highly. So I am thinking this is a serious option for me. Gonna give days or two to think on it before committing to the hassle of a dual boot, but all these tools and comments are giving me a lot of peace of mind to try.
I am so glad it wasn't just me! Like the article said, I legit thought I had some sort of malware on my machine. Which I guess is true, they just call it windows. I really only use my machine for gaming and every time I've tried to switch to linux I had all sorts of compability issues.
Open question to all. Is SteamOS all that it's cracked up to be? I'm still gonna have game by game issues right?
The MAGA collective are too busy calling each other pedos to be effective. Kevin Mccarthy found this out the hard way trying to get his votes. That was the only silver lining of Trump, he was too incompetent to actually accomplish his goals. How much of that wall got built?
Mitch however is the reason the supreme court was able to repeal Roe. Not that I would relish someon like MTG getting more power, but it's in our best interest for the self enrichment fools to line their pockets instead of an idealog getting things done.
This dude is getting paid in exposure. It's midly amusing that this grift is messing with Trump, but this is nothing but a PR move for a small time lawyer to get news articles about him. Nothing will come of it and absolutely no one should be giving him money for his self serving ways.
So I'm a queer woman and I swear ALL OF MY FRIENDS are some level of poly. Which, rock on! Good for them! But my GF and I are happily monogamous and can't imagine a future where we open it up. I have no shade, I've read the poly books, watched the open relationships YouTube and listened to the theroy, I totally understand where they are coming from and why it works for people. The divorce rate is a good enough example as any for why it makes people happy. Monogamy is not something to enforced or expected of people, clearly it isn't working for most folk.
But I also know any thing more than 1 partner just sounds STRESSFUL. Like, I always work myself up wondering if I am messing up ONE relationship, idk how y'all do it with multiple people to worry about. π
Yayay! The game has run smoothly, mostly. But every few hours my GF and I restart our LAN to fix some stuttering. Also had some FPS issues with super large battles, but the game is SO DANG GUD that we don't even consider those speedbumps. Easily the best triple A in a long while.
Yesssss! You are very much in my wavelength, I have played a ton of kingdoms! Super clever game, I never thought side scrolling city builder would be a thing.... But there it is! Great background game, another good suggestion.
We as a community should hold ourselves to a higher spoiler standard than the marketing teams.
While I know that sounds like a reach at first, consider other media. Movie trailers tend to give a lot away, but that isn't within the control of the directors. It's done by the studios who are trying to generate as many eyeballs and clicks. Not deliver a complete narrative experince.
I have had the bear bit spoiled for me as well, would have rather seen it blind in game. But oh well, however I don't think that should preclude folk from discussing reviews, mocap and how unusual of a production cycle this game has had. Discussing the game itself doesn't require specfic story points. Much like discussing the Barbie movie set production require details on plot.
My ADHD prevents me from focusing on just one thing. Does anyone have a good game to play in tandem of watching a movie or show? Ideally something turn based or strategic, but not something complicated enough to require undivided attention.
Slay the spire and crafting in MMOs has been my go to lately, but I'd love something tower defensey.
For The King is a total steal for 5 bucks. Not a ton of repeatability but I lost about 4 weekends beating it. Great game, mixes a lot of genres and it totally work. Worth a look, especially at that price.
