Thanks for this response. I feel less alone. It’s pretty frustrating to see these manosphere mobs claiming victim status and accusing people of misandry when women speak frankly about their lived experiences. I was hoping that lemmy would be a better space for this kind of thing.
It’s starting here too I called out a 5hr old account for being a suspected Russian bot and my comments were removed. I also got mobbed on by a manosphere group in a comment on an article about a book that a woman wrote about being doxed with revenge porn. The toxic Reddit culture is starting to come over.
While I agree maga is end stage facism the GOP has been selling out the working class, escalating racism, pushing sexism, attacking unions, attacking civil rights, destroying worker protections, stealing elections, gerrymandering, bowing to corporate interests, destroying the social safety net , starting illegal wars and cutting taxes for the uber wealthy since Reagan. All these failed republican policies account for the entire national debt and then some when added up.
That’s not how racism works. The group in power at the top of the hedgemony that subjugates other groups doesn’t get to claim victim status when they’re asked to self reflect.
