Bill believes in egotistical altruism. Elon thinks that life is a zero-sum game.

I'm not going to defend Bill Gates and say he's a great guy. But I will say that he regularly gives away massive amounts of money and funding to those in need, unlike Elon... So per chance maybe we shouldn't be as dismissive of someone in that position that is not entirely out of touch with reality. Elon could feed and clothe and medicate more than Bill but does not.

That has been an active playbook since the 1900s. I would advise you to open up any historical documentation on world war I or world war II. Creative lying is not a new invention.
