Sig Sauer that are capable of accidental discharge, even with the safety on. To my knowledge it’s still manufactured and hasn’t been recalled.

If you're talking about the P320, Sig changed their manufacturing and offered to repair/replace any firearms that were made with the faulty trigger, as identified by serial number. I personally helped a ton of customers send their guns back to Sig to get this fixed. This happened over well over 5 years ago. While it wasn't a federally mandated recall, it was a voluntary fix by Sig, similar to how a ton of vehicle recalls work.

I could see your point in something like IT that changes as rapidly as it does. There are other fields out there that don't really change much in the past 20-30 years. But good for you.

I was often accused of being a bot on Reddit. Not sure really why. Though to be fair, the majority of my interactions on Reddit were arguing with people that thought they knew more than I did about a field I've worked in for 20+ years.

I mean any time you'd normally call the police. A lot of the ACAB people talk a big game until they are faced with a situation where normal people would call the police for help. Personally, I'm all for personal protection. Train yourself and learn how to use self defence and firearms. Don't put yourself in sketchy situations. of course that's not always possible, but thats why you train. for that one in a million time.

You're arguing that getting a license would somehow prevent this shooting? The kid bought the guns legally as it is. They were not illegally obtained. So getting a license is just one more hoop to jump through. It wouldn't have stopped anything, IMO.

Then why are they suing Youtube and Reddit if they don't think those platforms are responsible? I'm saying that you people want to blame every fucking other thing in the world, EXCEPT for the person doing the fucking crime. How am I arguing that the shooter is free? I'm literally saying, this kid would have likely done this with or without those things and the stupid idea that a license would prevent it is asinine.
