  • No surprise. Western industry seems more interested in coming up with creative ways to shrinkflate everything I buy than actually moving civilization forward in any meaningful way. I just had to pay 75p for 20 fucking grams of birds eye chillies. I fucking hate everything about capitalism. Going to the shop to buy food actually upsets me.

  • I'm the opposite.

  • Dell laptops are pretty good for Linux compatibility. To save on price I would recommend browsing dell outlet. It's an official dell store for selling "reconditioned" hardware. None of it has been used. Normally it's just returned stock, or stock that has superficial damage like scratches on the case, etc.

You can get some pretty hefty savings, sometimes as much as 50%. Check it out.

  • It can be a pain. I use linux exclusively for servers and stuff, especially virtual machines, but with my work I simply cannot risk ruining into the sorts of issues you describe so I stick to windows on my desktop/laptop and use WSL for development.

  • Yeah fuck timezones. UTC in and out please

  • "Are you trying to make an expression with that face? Why?"

  • I mean, will this even effect him? Alex Jones had to pay a ludicrous high sum for all the sandy hook stuff he pulled and I'm not sure he's paid a penny and he's certainly still hovering around making a living.

  • What you are saying is it is ethical to kill a being that has specifically said it doesn't want to die, in order save two others.

  • It's not an equation to be worked out. It simply boils down to respecting the wishes of a currently living and conscious being. Otherwise anyone's life could be forfeit based purely on some arbitrary valuation of what that life is worth. Why don't we just harvest your organs and give them to people we deem more useful, ya know?

  • I'm not hear to debate anyone, but if you think it is ok to kill a currently living being to resurrect a dead being, then you are fucked in the head. Tuvok and Neelix died painlessly and unaware in an accident. Tuvix was murdered, and was made fully aware of their fate beforehand, to the point where they even begged to be spared.

  • I don't wanna live here anymore but I can't abandon my shared responsibility to fix this shitfuck of a nation.

    Exactly my thoughts.

  • Me trying to find ways around using the word "and" in the commit message.

  • Yeah. I do this. The number gradually gets smaller as I fail to fall asleep
