It’s tough for me to comment as ours is sat on the deck outside the bedroom. Our house is the typical single stud wall with weatherboard exterior and GIB inside. It does have insulation in the wall plus double glazing. Can’t here the outside unit at all from inside the room when it’s running.
If you’re mounting to the wall, I’d think there’d be rubber mounts etc to reduce any vibrations.
I expected that every instance anywhere should be able to see everything else. I’m guessing the instance I tried isn’t federated to lemmy.world. But I don’t know how it all works.
It’s a spray that encourages the kiwifruit to bud and flower so the harvest is easier as all the vines fruit at about the same time. It has had a lot of hate due to its potential for waterway pollution and harm to animals, birds, and humans.
I can understand why the orchards use it, but it is pretty noxious.
Morning everyone. A bit chilly up here this morning. Just had a txt from our next door kiwifruit orchard, it’s Hi-Cane time again. Won’t be going into the garden when that happens.
We’ve got heatpumps mounted outside the timber frames. Not physically attached to the walls though. In our bedroom, the most obvious for noise intrusion, we do not hear the the outside compressor.
The fact your masonry is solid should mean little or no external noise.
I guess the logistics of catering for what is a very variable customer base, this week 500 orders, next week 50, is a tough one to handle. Living a bit remotely, our Countdown covers a huge area with its on-line deliveries. We’re just thankful it’s available for us.
Morning all. Done this weeks food shopping. We live a bit away from town, but Countdown deliver, so we use that. Have noticed a number of their items are now only available for store shoppers, but more costly similars are available on-line. Such is life I guess.
Had pizza last evening, and there was a slice left so I fried it for a minute this morning to crisp up the base, a great tasty and very easy breakfast.
Is anyone using Bard or ChatGPT for anything? I’m using them, especially Bard, for its more detailled and responsive web search ability. I no longer need to write detailed tech reports, thank you age, but I can see how this AI stuff would help.
How’s we all doing? The Hi-Cane spraying next door has started. Luckily it was early and there’s not much wind today.
