  • Orbits and their height are determined by the speed the object is moving at. Getting into orbit isn't about getting something very high, it's about getting it moving very fast. Geostationary height is the height that the object is moving at the same rotational speed as the body it's orbiting. Any lower or higher and it won't be geostationary anymore.

  • No, it started after the debate. The DNC told her to abandon her working rhetoric of "not going back." And they told Walz to stop using the weird moniker, which was the first negative connotation that ever really stuck to Trump. It's like they not only don't want to support actual progressive ideas that people actually want, but they also don't want to win.

  • Depending on the roadway, it's super dangerous. Telephone and power lines are hard to see, deadly hazards for aircraft in that situation. If something is landing on a road, it's probably an extreme emergency, and it's best to give them as much room as possible.

  • They didn't care. They got to live through the benefits and not have to worry about the consequences. As far as the climate is concerned, they were the party generation, and we're the hangover generation.

  • I could be mistaken, but most places check your signature against the voter roll. If your signature doesn't match, then they'll ask for an ID. At least that's how it was where I volunteered in 2020. This is done before you get your ballot. You don't actually sign the ballot itself.

  • The right has moved so far to the right that the "independents" are the ones that used to be right. That's why you're seeing all these pre Trump Neo Cons supporting Harris. They're trying to target people like my mom. People that don't like Trump but are still "Republican".
