It's a sobering thought to know that these are the people who will be leading in the next administration, one that has all of its fascist bonafides democratically validated.

  • You won't get any disagreement from me on that point, but unfortunately, neither you nor I are billionaires, so we have no power over the decision of rich people to pull a real-life Weekend at Bernie's routine.

  • Could be. They can't do much worse than Biden as far as campaigning goes.

  • Actually I don't, so I appreciate that reply. I just remember reading a ton of articles and material on how heavy handed she was as a DA and it made me wish Biden's running mate were someone less authoritarian and more progressive.

Is there actually policy on her part or a voting record to back it up, or is it more of a rhetorical position? (Genuinely interested here, not trying to be argumentative.)

  • Personally, I'm glad to see it. Biden's obvious cognitive decline has been very public for the last several years, and as we all saw with the debate, was impossible to hide when his appearance couldn't be stage managed.

He endorses Kamala. It would be an interesting turn of events if she were to be elected, but looking at her tough-on-crime record against nonviolent drug users and truants, I get the sense it would draw more comparisons to Kyrsten Sinema than Eleanor Roosevelt.

It'll be interesting to see where things go from here.

  • Pretty much, yeah.

We could have had more and better. It's a shame so many are programmed so well to toe the party line.

  • Partisans do like to pretend that they don't support fascism, but really they just ignore it and enjoy their brunches. It doesn't affect them personally, therefore it doesn't exist at all.

  • Christ, that's awful.

I spent my first 12 years in the work force in a financial services firm that, during tax season (so four months out of the year) required 14 hour days, so I understand that grind a little bit.

    Awful stuff.

It's great seeing unions getting stronger. I just wish it didn't have to happen out of necessity due to lackadaisical and careless governance.

  • Good.

    Kick management in the dick.

  • It wasn't just good.

It's a work of art. I replay it every 2-3 years and still have the soundtrack downloaded to my phone.

  • They have indeed.

Hell, Trump and Joe have exactly the same position on Israel and one of them is going to be president.

  • Also the logic being used by Israel as they do exactly the same thing.

With weapons we generously gift them even though our people don't have access to health care. (Unless they can be price gouged for it.l)

  • That's awesome.

I'm on year #4 with my Lenovo Legion. I'm planning to buy a new one later this year to keep up with gaming tech, but I'm keeping this one to be a dedicated Linux machine for browsing and general use, with the plan being using my new machine only for gaming.

  • I've had my Lenovo Legion for four years.

Great product, still works well. The only downside is how much I hate the plastic tabs you have to work open in order to get into the machine's guts.
