Firefox still doesn't have vertical tabs which I've found really useful for my workflow right now, so I use a fork called Pulse. Don't want to use any extensions for it when Pulse and other forks do it natively.
Same thing for me with iusearchlinux.fyi, but before joining I had to leave lemmy.world after I had issues logging in. I could reset my password and login that way but I couldn't actually login using the form. It was an issue lemmy.world had at the time, but not iusearchlinux.fyi
The Billet Labs cooler block stuff actually made me go "what the fuck" and got me to unsubscribe. That's not just some error you can cut out or some funny joke, everything about that was something that Billet Labs could likely prove monetary damages for in the worst case scenario.
I use Waydroid on EndeavourOS just to run Apple Music. Waydroid basically virtualises an x86 build of Android and uses containers rather than emulating an entire ARM device. The most difficult thing was getting firewalld to let Waydroid access the internet.
FWIW, Vivaldi attracts a lot of the FF power users that updates like Quantum abandoned. Vivaldi honestly wipes the floor with Firefox feature-wise especially for tab organisation, but the fact it's Chromium might push some people away.
It would've been nice if they used Gecko, but eh. I went from FF to Vivaldi to now, the Firefox fork Pulse. It's a bit janky sometimes, but with native vertical tabs and the Simple Tab Groups add-on I love it enough to use it as my main browser, and there's little to no bloat. There's also Floorp, another Firefox fork, this time from a Japanese community, which AFAIK predates Pulse and is inspired by Vivaldi, implementing some of its features like Tab Workspaces. Worth mentioning for those wanting a more Vivaldi-like experience.
Was this the same furry who got a job at NASA? If I recall, the guy who actually got the "suck my dick i'm working for nasa" comment actually tried to get her the job back.
Not to mention, some big names did pull out. If I recall, r/IAmA said they were no longer going to liaison their big-name celebrity AMAs or verify posts. Someone at Mojang/Microsoft probably got nudged to no longer post on Reddit because r/Minecraft is no longer getting changelogs from Mojang.
You might want to recommend forks of Firefox too. Part of the reason Chrome/Chromium is dominant is because of its forks, and a fork of Firefox might appeal to someone more than the main browser. I use Pulse, but Waterfox is also solid from what I've heard.
Does Firefish have edit federation yet? Pleroma and Mastodon (and all the currently maintained forks) have it but Misskey and its forks seem to be slacking there.
Oh, I support Gecko. More browser engines to compete against Chromium the better. I just can't support Firefox in its current state right now. Thankfully, Pulse seems to be picking up the slack in places.
No problem! Tree Style Tabs might also do the job on base Firefox with nested tabs, but it's not as streamlined as Pulse or Edge, especially if you want to hide the tab bar (you have to edit .CSS files).
edit: okay enabling both features, moving the main side panel to the right and enable tab collapsing makes a great space-saving setup.
Misread it as "sex with self-driving cars" and was disappointed it's not that.
