  • I was kind of hoping hate filled communities wouldn't be a thing on Lemmy. Sadly, everything's the same everywhere you go.

Clarification: I think NFTs are really stupid. I would even say I hate them. But I don't need a community based around hating something. No one should.

This was simply the first example of a "hate" community I've seen on Lemmy, so I spoke up.

  • I'm confused because the person you replied to just said, if your interlocutor has to play the devil, you're the asshole. Now you're saying, you, the devil, are the asshole, in direct contradiction to the point of their comment.

  • In the case of excitons, negatively charged electrons (fermions) bind to positively charged "holes" (also fermions), resulting in their collective spins combining to form a whole integer, thus creating a bosonic particle.

How does an electron bind to a hole? What does that mean? I guess I need to know exactly what a hole is. How does an electron hole have spin?

  • Are you implying that content creators don't themselves want more views and subscribers? Of course they do!

"They only use thumbnails and titles that get views and subscribers because if they don't... they won't get views and subscribers since Google isn't pushing their content."

That's what it sounds like you're saying.

  • Please add a way to disable swipe actions. I've been bouncing between 4 different apps, and I thought Liftoff already had them and I disabled them, but they came back overnight, but I guess you're saying they're new. Please add a way to disable them. I really don't like them. I trigger them all the time by accident, randomly voting on or saving things.

  • You wrap the whole box in a blanket, sides and all. It's not hard. I told the blanket in 4, then put the box on one half of it, then just flip the other half over the box. The sides get covered, too. It keeps the pizza super hot.

  • UPDATE: Turns out that does not let you dynamically change between users on the same instance, but should let you change to a user on a different instance. I don't know why, then, it presents you with a choice of users on the same instance. Picking a non-default user will still post as your default user.

Check out my update at the top of this post. I need to test it more, but it seems to be the ticket.
